The active optical cable comprises a first connector configured to connect to a Source; a second connector configured to connect to a Sink; a cable located between the first connector and the second connector, wherein the cable comprises a first optical fiber and a second optical fiber; and a multiplexer, with one end coupled to a high-speed signal pin of the first connector or the second connector and another end coupled to the first optical fiber or the second optical fiber, and is configured to select one of the first optical fiber and the second optical fiber as a valid channel. Through the solution provided by the disclosure, signal transmission requirements in multiple use scenarios are adapted, full-function switching of USB and/or DP data of the active optical cable based on a Type-C interface is realized.

In some embodiments, a list of a predetermined number of top job openings for a member of the social networking system is generated. The list is communicated to a device of the user for presentation in a user interface on the device. The user interface allows the member to browse through and provide an indication of a lack of relevancy of each of the list of the predetermined number of top job openings to the member and an indication of a reason for the lack of relevancy. Based on the user providing the indication of the lack of relevancy and the reason, a modified relevancy assessment of each of the plurality of job openings is generated. The list of the predetermined number of top job openings for the member is regenerated and communicated to the device.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for searching by commute preference. During operation, the system obtains a polygon representing a geographic area within a map. Next, the system identifies a set of map tiles that substantially cover the geographic area of the polygon. The system then searches a prefix tree representation of the set of map tiles for a set of entities with locations in the geographic area. Finally, the system outputs the locations of the set of entities as location-based matches for a search comprising the polygon.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for estimating transit times. During operation, the system selects one or more transit time thresholds that fall within a transit time preference for a user. Next, the system obtains one or more isochrones representing the one or more transit time thresholds for a starting point associated with the user and a mode of transportation. The system then compares locations of a set of entities to the one or more isochrones to calculate transit times between the starting point and the set of entities. Finally, the system outputs, based on the transit times, one or more recommendations comprising one or more entities in the set of entities that meet the transit time preference.
