Abstract: This invention provides Colosseum, a Byzantine fault tolerant scalable method to achieve consensus, designed to maintain distributed ledgers over a permissioned peer-to-peer blockchain network that follows a curative approach towards achieving consensus. It assumes that adversaries are not always present in the system but efficiently detects malicious behaviour and alert the network. Colosseum follows a knockout tournament like approach over a structured ring network to have agreement on the next set of block proposers. Colosseum proposes a novel two-player game like approach which uses Proof-of-Win to eliminate nodes in each round of a tournament resulting in the selection of a subset of nodes after ? (?<log 2 N, where N is the number of nodes in the network) number of rounds. It allows multiple block proposers for a tournament and tries to commit a maximum of their blocks using Converging Directed Acyclic Graph (CDAG) as the ledger to increase the throughput of the transactions.

  • Publication number: 20220091874
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a framework (120) and a method of optimizing load balancing in a cluster by effectively migrating docker containers which leverages the container runtime real-time metrics of the computing host machine in the virtual environment to decide the optimal container to node placement in the cluster. The present disclosure uses fly container migration in which migrating a container involves check-pointing it on the host node and restoring it on the target node, it also enables synchronizing the container file system, by leveraging the use of private container registry. Load balancing of the instant disclosure is performed by optimized allocation of nodes in the applications thereby re-balancing the cluster and further the framework is scalable to large number of nodes and it leverages the power of graphical processing units (GPU) for making faster scheduling decisions.

  • Patent number: 9507934
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing security to the Linux kernel are described. Wrappers are provided around the kernel, thereby reducing the amount of testing needed since the new security code will be introduced only into the wrappers. This also provides flexibility in various layers. The filters may be customized per se to suit various security needs. Overhead incurred due to this is very low.

  • Patent number: 9443106
Abstract: Security features of an ANDROID® operating system device using a data flow tracking filter are described. The data flow tracking filter uses a message filter model to track sensitive data in the ANDROID® operating system device through I/O channels to provide users with control over when the data attempts to leave the device through a network interface, thus exposing how third party applications use user private data. The data tracking filter also enables operating at the kernel level so intercept of all standard channels of communication is possible.
