Abstract: Presented herein are techniques for receiving, from each participant of a plurality of participants of a meeting, scheduling information indicating availability of each participant for each of a plurality of meeting segments corresponding to intervals of time spanning the duration of the meeting. The received scheduling information is aggregated for the plurality of participants. One or more status indicators that indicate the availability of each participant of the plurality of participants for each meeting segment are displayed.

Abstract: Presented herein are techniques for obtaining, for each of a plurality of participants of an online conference session, scheduling information proximate in time to or overlapping in time with a scheduled occurrence of the conference session. Based upon the obtained scheduling information for each participant, a determination is made as to whether the participant has a scheduled activity prior to, during or after the occurrence of the conference session. One or more status indicators that indicate the availability of one or more participants of the plurality of participants relative to the occurrence of the conference session are displayed to the plurality of participants in a display window during the conference session.

Abstract: Presented herein are techniques for automatically rescheduling one or more meetings in order to make a time slot available for scheduling of a meeting, e.g., a high priority urgent meeting. At a server that manages calendars for a plurality of users, a request is received to schedule a meeting between a first user and one or more other users. It is determined whether there is at least one other meeting involving any of the one or more other users that conflicts with the meeting. If so, the at least one other meeting is automatically rescheduled to another time.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus and computer readable storage media facilitate engaging in a web conference session between computing devices over a network, where the web conference session includes audio and video content communicated from at least one computing device to at least one other computing device during the web conference session. A first computing device engages in the web conference session at a first time that is after a start time of the web conference session and while the web conference session is ongoing, and the first computing device displays a time shifted portion of the web conference session prior to the first time and while the web conference session is ongoing.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for detecting a sequence of contact or interaction instances initiated by a user on a surface of an interface unit of a user device. Each contact instance comprises one or more points of contact between the user and the surface of the interface unit, while each interaction instance comprises one or more points of activation with respect to the surface of the interface unit. The sequence of contact instances or interaction instances initiated by the user is then compared to stored information to determine whether the sequence of contact instances or interaction instances matches the stored information. If the sequence of contact instances or interaction instances matches the stored information, access is granted to the user device or to a device or system associated with the user device.

Abstract: A light stick for use in a traditional dance comprising an elongated impact resistant body having an striking surface and at least one light source imbedded in the body. An electronic circuit for controlling the light source and a power source for powering the electronic circuit and the light source may also be incorporated in the body. The light source is placed set back the said striking surface. The electronic circuit and the power source are contained within the body. A method of providing a special effect to a traditional dance comprises the step of illuminating a surface of the impact-resistant stick with imbedded lights is also described.
