  • Publication number: 20250022202
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for generating a pose for a virtual character. The technique includes determining a set of joint representations corresponding to a set of joints in the virtual character based on (i) a base pose for the virtual character and (ii) a set of constraints associated with one or more joints included in the set of joints. The technique also includes generating, via execution of a first neural network, a set of updated joint states for the set of joints based on the set of joint representations. The technique further includes generating, based on the set of updated joint states, an output pose that includes (i) a first set of joint positions for the set of joints and (ii) a first set of joint orientations for the set of joints.

  • Publication number: 20240282028
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for training a neural motion controller. The technique includes determining a first set of features associated with a first control signal for a virtual character. The technique also includes matching the first set of features to a first sequence of motions included in a plurality of sequences of motions. The technique further includes training the neural motion controller based on one or more motions included in the first sequence of motions and the first control signal.

  • Publication number: 20240252329
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of controlling a prosthetic device. The method includes acquiring electromyographic (EMG) signals from one or more active electrodes configured to be in physical contact with a user, analyzing the acquired electromyographic (EMG) signals to determine the intent of the user and measuring one or more positional covariates associated with the user's residual limb. The method further includes controlling the prosthetic device in proportional response to the determined intent, wherein signal variations caused due to the positional covariates are compensated and providing multi-point sensory feedback to the user in response to the dynamics of the device, wherein the sensory feedback is provided via a wearable device that can be donned on or off by the user.

  • Publication number: 20160031630
Abstract: A self-contained insulated vessel having a storage area defined by an inner wall and an outer wall which are spaced apart and dosed off to define a cavity therebetween. An insulating substance is contained within at least part of the cavity in order to maintain a stored item at a predetermined temperature for an extended period of time or cool a stored item with a temperature higher than the predetermined temperature of the insulating substance. The insulating vessel can include a user engagement interface for shielding a user from at least part of an exterior surface of said vessel.
