  • Publication number: 20230370621
Abstract: An example non-transitory machine-readable medium includes instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to define a color encoding based on selected colors within a reference color space. The selected colors include white, black, and a set of chromatic colors spanning different print gamuts of a range of different printing devices. The instructions are further to encode a source datapoint of a source color space with the color encoding to obtain a reference datapoint of the reference color space by determining the reference datapoint as a mixture of white, black, and two colors selected from the set of chromatic colors, and output the reference datapoint.

  • Publication number: 20230051281
Abstract: A method for color correction of an image includes generating a plurality of gain modules for an image scanning device, where each gain module of the plurality of gain modules includes a ratio of a maximum light intensity and a scanned white intensity. The method may further include generating a plurality of color correction modules, wherein each color correction module is associated with a respective gain module. Responsive to receipt of instructions to perform a scan of a document, the method may include identifying a color correction module of the plurality of color correction modules to apply and applying the identified color correction module to an image of the scanned document.

  • Publication number: 20070091335
Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and computing devices including program instructions are provided for gamut boundary mapping. One method embodiment includes defining a region of interest inside a color exchange space by a region boundary, which is formed, at least in part, by a gamut boundary for an output device and an inflated gamut boundary. The method also includes providing a table for converting data from the color exchange space to a physical color space for the output device. In this method, at least a portion of the table is generated by using a first set of nodes sampled inside the gamut boundary and a second set of nodes sampled inside the region of interest and clipped to the inflated gamut boundary.

  • Publication number: 20070070465
Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, and computing devices are provided for device color separation. One method embodiment includes defining target nodes on a target neutral axis of the hue profile by using a darkest target node and a lightest target node. The method includes defining target nodes on a target boundary of the hue profile by using a sampled hue profile formed by a color separation process. Target nodes inside the hue profile are defined by using target nodes on the target boundary.
