    Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel injector (1) for an internal combustion engine, in which the fuel jets (4a, 4b) emerging from two orifices (3a, 3b) collide prior to traveling to the ignition device. In this way, it is possible to produce an ignitable fuel mist in the vicinity of the ignition device, without the ignition device being directly struck by liquid fuel.
