Publication number: 20230124765Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a machine learning-based dialogue authoring environment. In examples, a developer or creator of a virtual environment may use a generative multimodal machine learning (ML) model to create or otherwise update aspects of a dialogue tree for one or more computer-controlled agents and/or players of the virtual environment. For example, the developer may provide an indication of context associated with the dialogue for use by the ML model, such that the ML model may generate a set of candidate interactions accordingly. The developer may select a subset of the candidate interactions for inclusion in the dialogue tree, which may then be used to generate associated nodes within the tree accordingly. Thus, nodes in the dialogue tree may be iteratively defined based on model output of the ML model, thereby assisting the developer with dialogue authoring for the virtual environment.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 6, 2022Publication date: April 20, 2023Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Gabriel A. Patent number: 10704960Abstract: Embodiments of an environmental monitoring system that mitigates complexities in installation and maintenance while complying with strict regulations on operations of the system. The environmental monitoring system may communicate wirelessly between components such as sensor units and display devices, enabling these components to be separately and easily installed in an environment without needing to install wires in the environment to connect them. In addition, in embodiments at least some of the components (e.g., sensor units and display devices) of the environmental monitoring system may be adapted to wirelessly and reliably communicate using specific wireless communication protocols, described in detail herein, that exchange few communications between the components and thereby decrease power consumption of these components. Further, in some embodiments, a display device may include hardware and/or execute software that drive and/or update a display only when a condition is met.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 2017Date of Patent: July 7, 2020Assignee: Digi International, Inc.Inventors: Harry J.
