  • Publication number: 20050081472
Abstract: A vertical support beam is removably mounted flush against a wall between the ceiling and the floor in the interior of a dwelling structure. The beam is relatively thin, and is formed from a material, such as wood, to receive nails and screws for mounting common household objects such as mirrors and pictures directly to the beam and not the wall, to prevent damage to the wall. The outer surface of the beam is finished to blend in with the wall so that the beam is aesthetically pleasing in appearance in its operative position. The beam is not attached directly to the wall, the ceiling or the floor of the dwelling, and can be installed and removed without causing any permanent damage to these surfaces.

  • Patent number: 6050983
Abstract: A colostomy container that is worn by individuals who are in need of a means of passing feces and urine. The container isolates flatus from fecal matter and is capable of containing both excrement elements in separate chambers. Particularly, the stool is collected in a bottom chamber that is disposable, and a spring actuated ball check prohibits reverse flow of fecal matter back into the stoma. The flatus is collected in a top chamber where it is deodorized with a graphite filter and vented. The center of the container is insulated with foam to reduce noise resulting from waste products exiting the stoma and entering the container.

  • Patent number: 5783559
Abstract: The invention relates to solutions containing IGF-1 or any functional analogue thereof in which pH is 5.5 to 6.5, preferably 5.7 to 6.2. The amount of phosphate as buffer substance should be in a concentration of less than 50 mmol/L Preferably the formulation is an aqueous solution of IGF-1 and phosphate as buffer substance in a concentration of 5 to 50 mmole or more preferably 5-20 mmol/L, e.g. 10 mmol/L. The solution should be isotonic. The solution gives a reduced pain upon subcutaneous injection. The invention also relates to a process for preparation of the formulation by mixing IGF-1 or any functional analogue thereof with a buffer substance giving pH 5.5 to 6.5 and an isotonic agent. It also relates to a method for treatment of a patient in need of IGF-1 or any functional analogue thereof by administering the claimed formulation.
