    Abstract: A method is provided for making norbornane anhydride substituted organosiloxane by equilibrating norbornane anhydride organosiloxane with cyclopolydiorganosiloxane, organopolysiloxane and mixtures thereof under neat conditions in the presence of an acidic equilibration catalyst followed by quenching the resulting mixture with a silazane and thereafter devolatilizing the resulting equilibrated product.
