Abstract: CPR manikin in simulated human form including a head, body, arms and legs, the head is provided with throat and mouth openings in fluid communication and the body provided with a cavity, a piston is mounted in the cavity, a disposable lung bag is fastened over and in fluid communication with the throat opening and a body plate is mounted to the body and overlying the piston which provides biasing force to the body plate.

Abstract: A valve means (1) is disclosed for use in a teaching manikin to simulate an open and closed airway of the human throat. The valve means comprises a section with a hollow passage and two end openings. A first opening fits onto a manikin head and a second opening seats on a sealing surface. When the head is tilted back the valve means (1) lifts to open the second end to permit the flow of air.

Abstract: A disposable cervical collar having an elongated unitary body formed from plastic core board or similar cellular material, the collar having a frontal section provided with a chin receiving opening, including a chin supporting flap and optionally a chin strap, with a throat opening underlying the chin opening, and a rear section which is slotted at spaced intervals for bending to conform to the wearer's neck, the rear section having a plastic strap adapted to be adhesively secured to the frontal section to secure the collar in place.
