  • Publication number: 20230311169
Abstract: Wipes for preventing chlorine depletion suitable for commercial applications (e.g., industrial and consumer disinfectant wipes) are provided. The wipe includes at least one nonwoven layer, at least one pulp layer, and a nonionic modified siloxane additive. The at least one nonwoven layer and the at least one pulp layer may be hydroentangled to form a hydroentangled nonwoven fabric having a first surface and a second surface. Additionally, the nonionic modified siloxane additive may be disposed on at least one of the first surface or the second surface.

  • Publication number: 20230002705
Abstract: Sanitizing and disinfecting substrates of a nonwoven fabric material are loaded with an HOCl solution having a FAC concentration from about 25 ppm to about 750 ppm and a potential of hydrogen (pH) from about 4.5 pH to about 7.5 pH. The substrate may be a synthetic nonwoven fabric laminate having outer layers of one or more Spunbond synthetic fibers and an inner layer of polyester (PET) or pulp. Alternatively, the substrate may be an organic nonwoven fabric formed from one or more layers of cellulosic fibers. The layers may be bonded together by adhesive bonding, chemical bonding or thermal bonding. The substrates may be disposed within a container for storing and subsequently dispensing the substrates. The substrates may be pre-moistened and disposed within the container, or alternatively, disposed within the container and subsequently moistened with the HOCl solution.

  • Publication number: 20220251746
Abstract: Hydroentangled composites having a wide variety of uses (e.g., personal hygiene articles, facers for fenestration absorbent patches on surgical drapes, facers on absorbent surgical drapes, etc.) are provided. The hydroentangled composite includes at least two nonwoven webs hydroentangled together. The hydroentangled composite may have a three-dimensional structure. Additionally, the at least two nonwoven webs may have different bonding levels and/or lint levels.

  • Publication number: 20220042222
Abstract: Nonwoven fabrics are provided that include a mechanically entangled blend of fibers comprising (a) post-consumer recycled polymer staple fibers (PCR-staple fibers) and (b) one or more additional fibers, in which the one or more additional fibers are different than the PCR-staple fibers. The PCR-staple fibers are mechanically entangled with the one or more additional fibers to define the nonwoven fabric.
