Patent number: 7819779Abstract: A combination of treadmill and stair climbing machine includes a single roller supported on a shaft between two lugs on two sides of the frame of the combination and two rear ends of two pedals are respectively connected to the roller and supported on the two lugs. Two front ends of the two pedals are respectively connected to two hydraulic cylinders. A switch member is pivotably connected to a front end of the frame and can be set in a horizontal position when the combination is used as stair climbing machine, and an inclined position when the combination is used as treadmill. An L-shaped plate is connected to the frame and each pedal has a connection plate which has two elongate holes in which two protrusions on each side of the L-shaped plate are movably engaged, such that the pedals are pivotably supported on the L-shaped plate when used as stair climbing machine.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2006Date of Patent: October 26, 2010Assignee: Nautilus, Inc.Inventor: Dick Chang

Publication number: 20080171640Abstract: A cushion adjustable device for a treadmill includes a base plate fixed on a horizontal portion of one of two sides of a frame of the treadmill and a movable member is slidably engaged with a groove defined in the base plate. The movable member includes a resilient roller which is in contact with an underside of the deck of the treadmill. By moving the adjustable device, the resilient roller is moved to a desired position relative to the deck so as to provide a better cushion feature of the deck. A cushion display device includes an indication member and an extension rod which is fixed to the underside of the deck so that when the deck is deformed in vertical direction, the indication member is moved in vertical direction to show the deformation of the deck in the vertical direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2007Publication date: July 17, 2008Inventor: Dick Chang

Publication number: 20070142183Abstract: A treadmill includes a frame having two rollers and an endless belt is mounted on the two rollers. One of the rollers is driven by a motor and a control device is electrically connected to the motor so as to control the motor to be rotated in different directions alternatively. The alternative rotation of the motor shakes the endless belt and the user's body.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 9, 2006Publication date: June 21, 2007Inventor: Dick Chang

Patent number: 7140485Abstract: A lubrication device for a treadmill includes a plurality of dispensing tubes connected between two rails of the frame and a plurality of apertures are defined through a wall of each dispensing tube. The dispensing apertures face an inside of the endless belt located at a lower position. A plurality of input tubes are connected the two ends of the dispensing tubes so that lubricant can be fed into the dispensing tubes via the input tubes such that the inside of the endless belt is lubricated. The customer can easily lubricate the endless belt without removing the endless belt from the frame.Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 2005Date of Patent: November 28, 2006Inventor: Dick Chang

Publication number: 20060105886Abstract: An exerciser includes a frame and two operation members with two respective endless belts are pivotably connected to two supports on a rear end of the frame. The endless belts reeves through a driving shaft connected between the two supports. Two sets of swing devices are connected to a middle bar of the frame and the two operation members are connected to the two sets of swing devices so as to be alternatively stepped up and down when the exerciser is used as a climbing exerciser. A U-shaped member is connected to the front end of the frame and connects the two operation members as a one-piece. The two operation members are supported on the two supports in the mold of climbing exerciser, and are supported by the driving shaft when in the mold of treadmill.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 12, 2004Publication date: May 18, 2006Inventor: Dick Chang

Patent number: 6746376Abstract: A foldable treadmill includes a base having two hollow side rails a slot is defined in an inner side of each of the two side rails and communicates with an interior of each side rail. A frame has two sides which are pivotably connected between two arms on the base by two links. An assistant frame is located between the two side rails of the base and has a first transverse bar and two support links are connected to the first transverse bar and pivotably connected to the underside of the frame. Two sub-wheels are connected to two extensions on two ends of the first transverse bar and movably received in the interior of the two side rails via the slots. The sub-wheels come out from the two openings when the frame is upright folded.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2002Date of Patent: June 8, 2004Inventor: Dick Chang

Patent number: 6746374Abstract: A treadmill includes a base which has two side tubes and each side tube has a slot defined in an inside thereof and an aperture is defined in an underside of each of the two side tubes. The two apertures communicate with an interior of the two side tubes. A folding device has a shaft with its two ends inserted in the two slots and two rollers are connected to the two ends of the shaft. Two side frames are connected to the shaft and two sides of an operation frame are pivotally connected to the two side frames. Two links are pivotally connected between the two side frames and the base. When folding the operation frame at an upright position, the two rollers are moved in the side tubes of the base and drop through the apertures to contact the floor so as to provide better support of the treadmill.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2002Date of Patent: June 8, 2004Inventor: Dick Chang

Publication number: 20020196882Abstract: The present invention provides a transmission method capable of synchronously transferring information in many ways to simultaneously transfer data to plural receivers. In the transmission method of the present invention, a control menu and data to be transferred are first provided, and predetermined receivers are then selected. Next, an image capturing device is used to scan the control menu and the data to be transferred and convert them into an electric signal, which is then transferred to a computer server. The computer server discriminates the electric signal and converts it into an image signal. If the result of discrimination is successful, the image signal is transferred to an FTP server or a client computer so that the receivers can receive the image signal in predetermined ways of reception. The present invention has the characteristics of synchronous and manifold transmission, fast transmission, and convenient use.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 26, 2001Publication date: December 26, 2002Inventors: Douglas W.
