    Abstract: An ultra-stable superconducting triple cavity ruby maser oscillator (10) is obtained by providing the oscillator with a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) (50), which measures the magnetic field at the ruby (14) and compensates for changes by adjusting the RF pump signal amplitude (42), thereby attaining stabilities of about four orders of magnitude greater than presently attainable.
