Abstract: A handle device of a wheeled trunk includes an elongated frame member mounted on a side wall of the trunk, and a handle member mounted telescopically in the frame member. The frame member has an opening formed through an upper portion thereof, and a receiving space formed in the frame member in communication with the opening. The handle member includes a handle exposed to an exterior of the frame member, an elongated unitary plate connected securely to the handle and inserted movably into the receiving space of the frame member, a spring-loaded upper push button installed to an upper portion of the unitary plate and engaged within the opening of the frame member to prevent movement of the unitary plate in the receiving space, thus locating the handle member at a retracted position relative to the frame member, and a spring-loaded lower push button installed on a lower portion of the unitary plate.

Abstract: A handle device includes a pair of storage tubes adapted to be mounted on a rear face of a wheeled suitcase, a seat frame, a handle member and a locking mechanism. Each storage tube has a top open end and a first engaging hole adjacent to the top open end. The seat frame is fastened to and extends between the storage tubes. The handle member has two arm portions which are inserted slidingly into the storage tubes and which are provided with at least one second engaging hole. The seat frame confines a receiving space which is communicated with the first engaging holes of the storage tube.

Abstract: The handle device includes a frame member and a handle member. The frame member has a pair of longitudinal grooves, while the handle member has two first tubes mounted securely in the longitudinal grooves, at least one of the first tubes being provided with a plurality of longitudinally aligned holes, and a U-shaped handle with two opposed second tubes inserted slidably in the first tubes. A spring-loaded projection member is mounted to the first end of the second tube which is enclosed by the first tube that is formed with the longitudinally aligned holes. A spring-biased actuating lever is mounted pivotally to the U-shaped handle such that a front end of the actuating lever is located nearer to the second tube than a rear end of the same. A rigid connecting stick is disposed inside the second tube and connects the spring-loaded projection member to the front end of the actuating lever. When the lever is at the normal condition, the spring-loaded projection member engages one of the holes of the first tube.

Abstract: A suitcase fastener has a retaining member secured to the cover of a suitcase and a fastening assembly mounted on the case of the suitcase to engage the retaining member for holding the case and the cover together. The fastening assembly includes a base block with a receiving space. A first swing member has one end portion pivoted to the base block and another end portion biased away from the receiving space. A clasp member, pivoted to the other end portion of the first swing member, has a hook element and an engagement element at two end portions thereof and is biased to an unfolded position relative to the first swing member. The swing member and the clasp member are operable to be moved to their folded position in which the hook element is pressed to engage the retaining member and in which the other end portion of the first swing member and the engagement element of the clasp member are pressed into the receiving space.

Abstract: A suitcase includes a hollow suitcase body which has a front side wall, a rear side wall that is formed with a longitudinally extending recess, and a wheel unit that is mounted on a lower end portion of the rear side wall. A foldable plate is mounted pivotally on the front side wall and is turnable outward to a carrying position in which the foldable plate is generally perpendicular to the front side wall. A cover plate is mounted on the rear side wall to cover the recess. A strap mounting frame is mounted on an inner face of the cover plate and has a top portion provided with a horizontally extending first hook support, a rotatable shaft, and a strap wound on the shaft and having one end fixed thereto. A handle member has two upright tubular portions which are inserted slidably into two upright tubular sleeves formed on the inner face of the cover plate. The handle member further has a horizontal second hook support extending across distal top ends of the tubular portions.

Abstract: A briefcase includes two casing halves which are hinged to one another to allow movement between a closed position and an open position, a pair of briefcase frames respectively attached to one of the casing halves, a handle piece attached to one of the briefcase frames, and a lock incorporated in the briefcase frames. Each of the casing halves is made of a laminate which inlcudes an inner layer made of a soft lining fabric, a center layer made of an elastic plastic foam, and an outer layer made of a strong fabric cloth.
