Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes: displaying an event on a first display device associated with a client device, the event comprising at least one video scene; enabling an electronic device to communicate with the client device; receiving a user input requesting augmented reality content associated with the at least one video scene; identifying a relevant portion of the augmented reality content to render on a second display associated with the electronic device, wherein the relevant portion comprises video frames corresponding to the at least one video scene and additional content surrounding the video frames; and rendering the relevant portion on the second display device.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for providing access to a content delivery channel for presentation on a viewing device includes: receiving statistics about comments published on a social media platform, the comments being identified as relevant to a plurality of media content instances broadcast during a given period of time; processing the received statistics to determine the most commented upon media content instances on the social media platform; using the processed statistics to identify one or more highlights in each of the most commented upon media content instances; and constructing a content delivery channel, wherein the content delivery channel comprises audio-visual (AV) content corresponding to the identified one or more highlights.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes: querying a database for data related to a video content item currently being displayed on a display device, the video content item comprising at least one of video scene; receiving the data upon identifying the video content item in the database, the data comprising metadata relevant to one or more promoted objects appearing in the at least one of video scene; and displaying, on the display device, a graphical timeline of the video content item generated using the metadata, wherein the graphical timeline comprises an interactive visual indication and an interactive thumbnail for each of the one or more promoted objects appearing in the at least one of video scene, the interactive visual indication identifying a particular promoted object from the one or more promoted objects and the interactive thumbnail identifying a video scene of the video content item in which the particular promoted object appears.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide an automated multi-device login synchronization function. For example, a private computing device, such as a smartphone or table computer, can detect a shareable device, such as a television set top box or video game consul, when the private device enters a room. In one example, the private device can determine whether the shareable device is currently associated with one or more user profiles. If the shareable device is not associated with a user profile, a command can be sent, by the private device to apply user settings and/or preferences for, and make content associated with, a user profile associated with the private computing device available on the shareable device. If, however, the shareable device is associated with a second user profile, a similar command can be sent causing the shareable device to merge the first and second user profiles to create a merged profile.
