Abstract: Process for dyeing keratinous fibres, characterized in that at least one composition (A) containing, in a medium suitable for dyeing, at least one indole derivative and at least one oxidation dye chosen from rapid oxidation dyes and couplers in combination, either (a) with iodide ions, or (b) with hydrogen peroxide, is applied on these fibres at a pH of between 2 and 7, and preferably between 2 and 5, the application of the composition (A) being preceded or followed by the application of a composition (B) which contains, in a medium suitable for dyeing:either (a) hydrogen peroxide at a pH of between 2 and 12 and preferably between 2 and 7 when (A) contains iodide ions;or (b) iodide ions at a pH of between 3 and 11 when the composition (A) contains hydrogen peroxide.

Abstract: A process for dyeing keratinous fibers employs a dye composition containing an oxidation base selected from a paraphenylenediamine, an N,N'-diphenylalkylene diamine, a para-aminophenol, an ortho-aminophenol, an ortho-phenylenediamine or a heterocyclic oxidation base, in combination with iodide ions. The application of this dyeing composition to the keratinous fibers is preceded or followed by the application to the fibers of a composition containing hydrogen peroxide.

Abstract: A process for dyeing keratinous fibers involves applying to the fibers a dye composition (A) containing an oxidation dye which is a mixture of a coupler and a "rapid" oxidation dye or a "rapid" oxidation dye, in combination with iodide ions. Abstract: A superheated vapor generator including a porous material substantially filling an annular space between two concentric spaced apart tubular inner and outer electrodes connected across a power source. A pump is provided to pump a predetermined quantity of liquid into the porous material to temporarily complete the circuit through the electrodes and generate superheated vapor or steam. Since the liquid itself completes the circuit, no switches or controls are required. Labyrinthe passages between the pump and the inlet to the annular space and between the interior surface of the inner electrode and a tubular steam discharge outlet prevents dangerous current leakage and assure generation of superheated vapor. An electrically grounded porous metal plug in the vapor outlet minimizes electrical shock hazards. The vapor generator is held in the hand and can be used for setting or treating human hair.
