  • Patent number: 11944381
Abstract: A process, phoropter, and an optometry system, the process being for correction of the shift of the optical power of an active lens in a phoropter due to a temperature change over time, the active lens including a container filled with a liquid and having a deformable curvature membrane under the action of an actuator controlled by an optical power control command, the shift being that the active lens provides an actual optical power that is different from the expected optical power corresponding to the optical power control command. A temperature sensor is arranged in and/or on the phoropter to measure the temperature in the phoropter.

  • Patent number: 11668955
Abstract: A system for monitoring the position of a blocking device on an ophthalmic lens (20) having at least one marking comprises: —a mechanical structure adapted to cooperate with the blocking device; —an image sensor (4) observing the ophthalmic lens (20); —a control unit (10) connected to the image sensor (4) and configured to produce an image having a point of reference with a determined position with respect to the mechanical structure and at least part of the ophthalmic lens (20) including said marking; and—a user interface (12) adapted to display a blocking device positional compensation proposal for an automatic positional compensation or for a manual positional compensation based on the comparison to a predetermined threshold of a distance between the point of reference and the marking on the image. A corresponding method and a method for edging an ophthalmic lens are also proposed.

  • Publication number: 20230097543
Abstract: An apparatus for recommending an optical device adapted to a wearer having a current optical device, the apparatus including processing circuitry that receives and stores measured data relating to features measured on the wearer using at least one measuring instrument, anamnesis data relating to the anamnesis of the wearer, and current optical device data relating to the current optical device used by the wearer, that processes at least two of the measured, anamnesis, and current optical device data based on predetermined processing rules, and that recommends an optical device for the wearer based on the data.

  • Patent number: 11333901
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for determining the position of the eye rotation center of a subject's eye including: providing a geometric model of an eye, the eye being modeled with one sphere for the sclera and one ellipsoid for the cornea of the eye, the position of the eye rotation center being the distance between a center of the sclera and an apex of the cornea and being determined based on a set of personal parameters including a first geometric dimension of the eye, each personal parameter distinct from the position of the eye rotation center; determining a value of each personal parameter; and determining a first approximate value of eye position rotation center based on the geometric model using the personal parameters. Also disclosed is a method for calculating a personalized ophthalmic lens for the eye using such center, as well as a device implementing this method.

  • Patent number: 11045085
Abstract: An optometry device for testing an individual's eye includes: a casing; an imaging module located in the casing and adapted to produce a light beam directed to the individual's eye; and a refraction module adapted to provide a variable optical correction to the individual's eye looking there through into the casing. The optometry device includes an illumination system adapted to produce a variable ambient light level inside the casing.
