  • Publication number: 20120202838
Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention relates to abuse-deterrent drug formulations comprise a plurality of discrete domains uniformly dispersed in a pharmaceutically acceptable matrix, wherein said domains have high fracture toughness and comprise at least one polymer and at least one abuse-relevant drug. In another embodiment, the present invention relates to a formulation comprising a plurality of discrete mechanically reinforcing particles uniformly dispersed in a pharmaceutically acceptable matrix, wherein said matrix has high fracture toughness and comprises at least one polymer and at least one active agent, at least one abuse-relevant drug or a combination of at least one active agent and at least one abuse-relevant drug.

  • Publication number: 20080316524
Abstract: For automatic selection of an apparatus for processing of a document processing job, features of the document processing job are compared with features necessary for execution of the document processing job of each apparatus available. In the even that it results from the comparison that a plurality of apparatuses possess the necessary features, a most suitable apparatus among the plurality of suitable apparatuses is selected via a further comparison of the features of the document processing job with features of the apparatus that are necessary for execution of the document processing job.

  • Publication number: 20070291300
Abstract: In a method or program for automatic execution of a job ticket for a printing press, the job ticket with a tree structure is imported in which at least one intent node is contained, the intent node having at least one template name and one resource listed. The template name specified in the intent node and the at least one template name specified in the intent node are determined. A template that exhibits the template name and has capabilities to process the at least one resource in the intent note is selected. The selected template is inserted into the tree structure of the job ticket such that it is subordinated to the respective intent node.

  • Publication number: 20070104780
Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition comprises a drug-carrier system having a small-molecule drug of low water solubility, e.g. N-[4-(3-amino-1H-indazol-4-yl)phenyl]-N?-(2-fluoro-5-methylphenyl)urea (ABT-869), and (+)-1-(5-tert-butyl-1-yl)-3-(1H-indazol-4-yl)-urea (ABT-102), in solution in a substantially non-aqueous carrier that comprises at least one phospholipid and a pharmaceutically acceptable solubilizing agent. The drug-carrier system, when mixed with an aqueous phase, typically forms a non-gelling, substantially non-transparent liquid dispersion. The composition is suitable for administration by a suitable route, e.g. orally, to a subject in need thereof.

  • Patent number: 6578431
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining bulk material constants such as Poisson's ratio and the ratio of shear modulus to bulk modulus for elastomeric materials, including, but not limited to elastomers, rubbers, gels and sealants is disclosed. The bulk material properties are determined by measuring the pressure change of the elastomeric material when the elastomeric material is subjected to an applied pressure. The changes in the bulk material property due to temperature or a the addition of a diluent may also be determined. The apparatus includes a container that holds the elastomeric material. A pressure sensor is located in the container and is positioned to measure the pressure of the elastomeric material. The signal from the pressure sensor along with the applied pressure is used to determine a bulk material property such as Poisson's ratio or the ratio of shear modulus to bulk modulus for the elastomeric material.
