  • Patent number: 10403157
Abstract: This method for displaying information relative to an aircraft is carried out by computer and includes the acquisition of a message from among a meteorological message and an aeronautical information message, each message including at least one mission object identifier; searching, among the mission object identifier(s) contained in each acquired message, for at least one mission object identifier verifying at least one criterion from among first, second and third predefined criteria, the first criterion depending on a received mission plan, the second criterion depending on the current position of the aircraft, and the third criterion depending on both the current position of the aircraft and the received mission plan; and if at least one mission object identifier is detected verifying at least one of the first, second and third predefined criteria, displaying each detected identifier.

  • Patent number: 8924139
Abstract: Described are a collision prevention device and a method for a vehicle in motion on the ground. The collision prevention device includes means for localizing obstacles; means for acquiring obstacle localization data; means for localizing the equipped vehicle; a collision prevention computer, and presentation means for presenting warnings to a driver of the equipped vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7881867
Abstract: The TAWS system, in addition to an FTLA function for detecting the risk of collision with the terrain, has an end-of-conflict announcement function COT which is activated after the cessation of a warning or alarm concerning the risk of collision with the ground originating from the FTLA function. This COT function, when activated, checks that the aircraft (A) is observing minimum vertical and lateral safe distances, and estimates the lower vertical speed margin with which a new ground collision risk warning will not be retriggered. After confirming the observance of the minimum safe distances, the COT function has an end-of-conflict message (“Clear of terrain”) sent with a lower vertical speed margin indication.

  • Patent number: 7797086
Abstract: The process according to the invention is one of identifying the landing runway for which an aircraft is heading, wherein on the basis of on-board information and at least one database relative to the configuration of the landing airport zone, it is possible to dynamically evaluate the aircraft touchdown point on the ground to identify the runway for which the aircraft is heading.

  • Publication number: 20080306691
Abstract: The present invention relates to a collision prevention device and method for a vehicle in motion on the ground. The collision prevention device 1 notably comprises: means for localizing obstacles 100, 101, 102, 103, 5, 6, 7; means for acquiring obstacle localization data 2, 4; means for localizing 10 the equipped vehicle; a collision prevention computer 3: combining the obstacle localization data coming from the acquisition means 2, 4; taking into account a description of a configuration of the equipped vehicle and also the localization of the equipped vehicle; detecting proximity conflicts between the equipped vehicle and the localized obstacles; generating alerts in the case of proximity of the equipped vehicle and a localized obstacle; generating at least one solution for resolving each conflict detected; presentation means 12, presenting warnings to a driver of the equipped vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20080163093
Abstract: The invention concerns the device, on board an aircraft, of data received or exchanged without any audio communication with the ground or with other aircraft by means of a data management device provided with display means showing, in a dedicated area of an interactive multi-purpose screen, shared with the flight primary instruments and the flight management computer, a set of different windows, one (LOGON) assigned to the management of an air-ground link designed to run messages with the ground, and each of the others (CPDLC, ADS, FIS, AOC, APC) being assigned to different specialized services and a selection system (a) with constantly visible tabs in the foreground, enabling any one of the management windows to be selected and focused by means of a pointing and inputting device.

  • Publication number: 20070215745
Abstract: The method in accordance with the invention is a method of improving aeronautical safety relating to air/ground communications and to the environment of aircraft and it is characterized in that the quality of the air/ground exchanges between the crew and an air traffic control center is monitored automatically aboard the aircraft in which this method is implemented, that the context arising from these exchanges is correlated with the onboard data and those produced by the monitoring of the environment of the aircraft, and that warnings destined for the crew of the aircraft are formulated by allocating these messages a severity level as a function of the degree of dangerousness of a detected threat and/or of gaps or inconsistencies between the instructions and information from the control center and the flight parameters of the aircraft or the intentions of its crew and/or messages destined for the air traffic control.
