The cam is arranged to gradually reduce the distance between the feeder and the header by rotating the cam away from the header and the hook is arranged to grip a bar located on the header as the cam is being rotated away from the header, thereby securing the header to the feeder. A coupling mechanism automatically establishes a hydraulic and/or electric coupling between the feeder and the header, through the reduction of the distance between feeder and header.
