  • Patent number: 7474021
Abstract: A cooling assembly to be inserted in electric machines includes a generally cylindrical body to be inserted inside the internal stator of an electric machine. The body includes a top surface provided with angled bores forming V-shaped channels inside the body. Intersecting V-shaped channels are closed by plugs to thereby define a continuous cooling channel inside the body.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 24, 2004
Date of Patent: January 6, 2009
    Assignee: TM4 Inc.

  • Patent number: 7222686
Abstract: A drive train for a hybrid vehicle is described herein. The drive train includes an electric motor having a rotor linked to a ground contacting wheel of the vehicle, a combustion engine that may be selectively connected to the ground contacting wheel and an electric generator that may be directly or indirectly connected to the combustion engine. The drive train may be used in a series mode while the generator is operated at a nominal rotation speed via a speed increasing gear mechanism while the internal combustion engine operates at low speed and in a parallel mode while the generator is operated at a rotation speed of the combustion engine.

  • Patent number: 6649917
Abstract: A cleaning system for a UV disinfection module having a pair of headers with a multiplicity of lamps extending therebetween including a cleaning plate having a multiplicity of openings therein, the openings having lamp wipers and arranged to substantially coincide with positions of the lamps to permit movement of the plate between the headers, a rotatable screw extending between the headers and through the plate, a motor operatively connected to rotate the screw, a screw adapter fixed to the cleaning plate at a rotatable screw opening in the plate and including a substantially cylindrical tube having opposed openings, one of the openings being aligned with the rotatable screw opening and a thread nut connected to each of the opposed openings, each opposed opening having a threaded central bore sized to threadingly engage threads on the rotatable screw, whereby rotation of the screw moves the cleaning plate between the headers.

  • Patent number: 6409944
Abstract: Method of producing a filter floor for treating water, comprising a structure made of girders or columns supporting a slab which has a number of orifices intended to take suction strainers, characterized in that the concrete of the said structure and of the slab is cast directly in the filter liner, the said structure and the lower part of the slab being shaped by one single design of lost formwork.

  • Patent number: 6264834
Abstract: Sewage treatment intended for separating solids and liquids under gravity, particularly for sludge from sewage works, comprising a flat and stationary thickening or drainage grating onto which the sludge is continuously conveyed, this sludge being constantly scraped by a scraping system with flexible blades. The grating is made up of a number of strips, the spacings of which vary along their lengths, the characteristics of the spacings between the strips of the grating and their variations being defined on the basis of the nature of the solid-liquid suspension to the thickened, of its concentration, and of the feed-rate of the plant.

  • Patent number: 5822107
Abstract: A process for electrical power supply of at least one electrically drivable glazing of the electrochromic type for the purpose of causing variation of the state of coloration thereof. An electrical drive circuit includes an electrical connection to connect electrically conductive layers of the glazing to the drive circuit. An electricity generator supplies power to the electrochromic glazing under instruction of a control unit equipped with a user interface, and which utilizes a counter for counting a time and which measures and computes physical characteristics of the drive circuit and of the glazing, including at least measuring the electrical voltage between two distinct points of the electrochromic structure of the glazing, and measuring the electric current and measuring the state of coloration of the glazing.
