  • Patent number: 11025919
Abstract: A method for adaptive streaming of nonlinear video is described wherein the method comprises receiving a manifest file comprising metadata defining a playback period defining video data of a predetermined playback duration, a playback period including at least one adaptation set defining a plurality of representations, each representation defining a set of segment identifiers, each segment identifier identifying a segment comprising a sequence of video frames; the metadata further comprising spatial playback information including at least a first region descriptor associated with a first adaptation set of a first playback period, the first region descriptor defining a destination identifier and a first region in video frames of the first adaptation set, the destination identifier signaling the client apparatus that the first region is linked to a second adaptation set; the client apparatus using the metadata to playback video data of the first adaptation set by requesting one or more network nodes to transmit

  • Patent number: 10257638
Abstract: Method for processing audio objects by an audio client apparatus is described wherein the method comprises: receiving or determining spatial listener information, the spatial listener information defining including one or more listener positions, orientations and/or foci of one or more listeners in the audio space; the audio client apparatus selecting one or more audio object identifiers from a set of audio object identifiers defined in a manifest file stored in a memory of the audio client apparatus, an audio object identifier defining an audio object being associated with audio object position information for defining one or more positions of the audio object in the audio space; the selecting of the one or more audio object identifiers by said audio client apparatus being based on the spatial listener information and the audio object position information of audio object identifiers in said manifest file; and, the audio client apparatus using said one or more selected audio object identifiers to request tran

  • Publication number: 20170188170
Abstract: In an embodiment, an audio system may include a first set of speakers arranged in a first area, a second set of speakers arranged in a second area, an audio source for supplying sound signals to the speakers, and at least one detector for detecting the location of a user and for supplying a location signal to the audio source. The first area and the second area may be substantially non-overlapping. The audio source may be configured for controlling the sound signals to the speakers so as to produce a sound field having a position. The audio source may further be configured for adjusting, in response to the at least one location signal, the position of the sound field when a user moves from the first area to the second area. As a result, the position of the sound field may substantially coincide with the location of the user.

  • Publication number: 20060031168
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for access, for at least one user, to Internet site multimedia content, said method including, if the multimedia content is not free of charge: a user identification test (8), verification (13) that the user has or does not have an account containing access rights to the charged multimedia content, and if the user has an account and sufficient rights, the delivery of the charged multimedia content (14), said user identification test (8) and said verification (13) being implemented by a proxy server software independent of the Internet site server software.
