  • Patent number: 8361377
Abstract: The invention relates to blowing equipment (1) that uses a pressurised fluid for blowing vessels from preforms of a thermoplastic material and including a body (3) and a neck (6), wherein said equipment comprises a blowing mould (5) with a moulding cavity (4) in which the body (3) of a preform (2) can be placed, said mould (5) including an upper surface (7) from which protrudes the neck (6) of a preform (2) once the body (3) of said preform (2) is placed in the cavity (4), and wherein said equipment (1) also includes a nozzle (8) with an end (9) shaped so as to be placed in functional sealed relation with the protruding neck (6) of the preform (2). The end (9) of the nozzle (8) is connected to a means (12) for degassing the blowing fluid, capable of bearing tightly on the upper surface (7) of the mould (5) so as to define an inner volume (13) in which the blowing fluid blown under pressure into the preform (2) can be discharged after the preform (2) blowing operation.

  • Patent number: 7165956
Abstract: A blow-molding installation for manufacturing receptacles from blanks of thermoplastic polymer, said installation comprising a bell-nozzle for blowing a fluid under pressure into a blank (3) disposed in a cavity (2) of a mold (1), the end of the nozzle being in the shape of a bell (11) which is suitable, during blow-molding, for being pressed into leaktight end-to-end abutment against a wall (F) of the mold while capping the neck (7) of the blank that emerges from said wall; said installation further comprises means (161) for securing the nozzle to the wall of the mold by mutual attraction, which means can be activated, after the nozzle has been brought into end-to-end contact with the wall (F) of the mold without flattening a sealing gasket (13), so as to attract the nozzle (10) and the wall (F) towards each other with an attraction force greater than the repulsion force due to the pressure of the blow-molding fluid.

  • Patent number: 5863571
Abstract: The invention concerns a machine for manufacture of containers (13), such as bottles, pots, and all other types of hollow bodies, by heat treating, then blow-molding, plastic preforms (1). The machine includes at least two wallet-type molds (41, 44) positioned on the periphery of a circular conveyor. Each mold incorporates at least two mold cavities. The machine includes a preform heat-treatment apparatus in which the pitch (P1) between the longitudinal axes of two successive preforms is smaller than the pitch (P2) between the longitudinal axes of two adjacent cavities belonging to the same mold, and means (5A) for modifying the pitch of the preforms between the drive mechanism and a mold.
