  • Patent number: 9439024
Abstract: A chip card for use in a terminal device assigned to a communications network, having at least one data field containing variable parameter data. To modify parameter data stored on the chip card, the chip card has an application, which is implemented on the chip card, in addition to the at least one data field containing variable parameter data, that the application is designed for generating and/or providing variable parameter data, and that an interface is provided between the application and the at least one data field containing variable parameter data. In addition, a terminal device having such a chip card is described, the terminal device additionally having an input application for generating parameter data for the chip card and for providing the generated parameter data in the application for generating and/or providing variable parameter data.

  • Patent number: 8844827
Abstract: The invention relates to a chip card, particularly a smart card, having an operating system which is implemented on the chip card and which controls the functions of the chip card, and having a first operating system kernel level which represents the core of the operating system and in which the process and data organization of the operating system is established, for which a second, uniform operating system kernel level is provided in which those functions of the first operating system kernel level are defined that can be addressed from outside the operating system, and that an interface is provided for accessing the second, uniform operating system kernel level from outside the operating system. Further, the invention relates to a method for the software-based modification of a chip card of this type.

  • Patent number: 8811283
Abstract: The subject innovation relates to a system and method for routing in a base station system a message received from a mobile communication device to a core network. The base station system may be connected to at least two core networks and an identifier being assigned to each core network. An exemplary method comprises receiving in the base station system the message from the mobile communication device together with an identifier assigned to a first core network of the core networks. The identifier may be read in the base station system. The exemplary method also comprises forwarding the message from the base station system to the first core network based upon the read identifier.

  • Publication number: 20120046034
Abstract: The subject innovation relates to a method and system for selecting a core network to serve a mobile communication device. An exemplary method comprises receiving in the mobile communication device a first identifier from a shared radio access network being connected to multiple core networks. The exemplary method also comprises reading second identifiers of the multiple core networks from a data item stored in the mobile communication device upon receipt of the first identifier. The data item may comprise an allocation between the first identifier and the second identifiers. The exemplary method additionally comprises selecting the core network from a group of available core networks, the group being determined based upon the second identifiers.

  • Patent number: 8090922
Abstract: A method for the processor controlled administering of a memory of a chip card. Initially, available free memory capacity is determined. Then, the memory is released for storing data. The data in the memory can be deleted. The memory can also be used by new data. A stored indication of the actual amount of free memory space is adapted to the current free memory space. The free memory space is reorganized and allocated. Furthermore, the invention relates to a chip card. The chip card comprises a chip with a memory wherein the memory is managed by a processor-controlled memory management system. An arrangement for identifying used and unused memory are provided. The actual free memory space is displayed by means for displaying.
