  • Publication number: 20240068081
Abstract: A method for converting an existing steam methane reformer (SMR) to produce hydrogen via ammonia cracking is provided. The method can include the steps of: providing the existing SMR, wherein the SMR was formerly used to produce hydrogen from a hydrocarbon feedstock; and improving the nitridation resistance of the inner surface of the equipment by adding a protective layer to an inner surface of equipment to be used in the existing SMR, wherein the equipment is selected from the group consisting of a catalyst tube, feed piping, a feed preheater, process gas heat exchangers, and combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 9187254
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for returning empty packaging, particularly bottles and cans, having a bulk import, in which the empty packaging is routed out of an input chamber through a transport device, rotating the empty packaging along its longitudinal axis past a recognition unit. The transport device for carrying out the method has a plurality of rollers which are arranged transversely with respect to the direction of transport and act as carriers for the empty packaging. The empty packaging is supplied to the detection array of the recognition unit in a field array. To avoid empty packaging being conveyed on top of other empty packaging, thereby blocking the detection of the bottom empty packaging by the recognition unit, the empty packaging undergoes a brief reversal of direction of rotation before its presentation to the detection array.

  • Publication number: 20140048391
Abstract: The present invention relates to a unit for container return machines, having a conveying means for the longitudinal drive of a container in the direction of its longitudinal axis, and a rotational body arranged on each side of the conveying means, wherein, when the unit is in transportation mode, the container rests on the conveying means and is driven longitudinally, and, when the unit is in identification mode, the container rests on the rotational bodies and is driven rotationally. Each rotational body has the cross-section of a flattened circle, such that when the unit is in transportation mode, the container bears against at least one of the flattened surfaces of the rotational bodies.

  • Patent number: 4833877
Abstract: Pollutant emissions produced during gas turbine power generation with a fuel gas from coal gasification are reduced by initially cooling the fuel gas to a temperature above the dewpoint but between 200.degree. and 400.degree. C. to condense alkalies on dust grains. In the fuel gas, HCl and HF are adsorbed on calcium carbonate and filtration removes the particulates. The fuel gas is reacted with oxygen in the presence of a carbon containing adsrobent to eliminate sulfur, and the flue gas after combustion is catalytically treated with a carbon containing adsorbent to remove nitrogen and sulfur oxides.
