  • Patent number: 6224407
Abstract: A coaxial switching connector especially applicable for use in cell phones is provided with a phone connector and a cradle connector where the cradle connector is mounted in a support structure via a conically shaped coil spring that allows both radial and axial displacement of the connector for absorption of tolerances and mechanical solicitation between the cell phone and its cradle.

  • Patent number: 6142803
Abstract: A mobile phone coaxial connector assembly comprises a switching coaxial connector for connection to an external antenna, and a second coaxial connector for connection to an internal antenna. The switching connector and internal antenna connector are provided with a common dielectric housing such that the connectors form a single assembly. The internal antenna connector comprises a resiliently mounted center contact having a large dome-shaped contact surface for positional tolerance absorption.

  • Patent number: 5919059
Abstract: A coaxial splicing connector has an inner contact section and an outer conductor stamped and formed from sheet metal and having crimping arms that engage hinged stuffer members for stuffing the coaxial connector inner conductors into contact slots. Insulation piercing blades extend inward from the outer conductor and pierce through the coaxial cable outer conductor for electrical contact therewith during the crimping operation. Rapid splicing connection between coaxial connectors is thus achieved.

  • Patent number: 5906511
Abstract: A multi-position coaxial cable connector comprises a conductive housing and cover part mountable together for clamping coaxial leads therebetween. The conductive housing is provided with integrally moulded shrouds surrounding receptacle and pin contacts respectively. The contacts are mounted to a dielectric housing positioned in a recess of the housing and have a central bore with spring contacts therein. The central conductor of the leads can be inserted into the spring contacts for electrical connection thereto. Outer shielding of the coaxial leads are positioned in grooves of the housing and complementary recesses of the cover part engage in the grooves and tightly clamp the shielding to the housing around substantially the whole circumference for effective shielding.

  • Patent number: 5595499
Abstract: A coaxial connector plug includes an inner insulating housing carrying a coaxial connector pin, where an outer grounding spring is positioned coaxially around the housing. The grounding spring is positioned within a sleeve member and a locking spring and outer sleeve are axially moveable between positions where locking arms of the locking spring are moveable to a position where a front edge of the locking arms is engaged with a corresponding surface of the sleeve member. The locking arms also include a locking projection which will reside in a peripheral groove of a mating jack connector when fully inserted thereto.
