  • Patent number: 6120315
Abstract: A terminal block assembly is provided containing a bus bar having a knife edge arranged to penetrate the insulation of an insulated conductor that is carried by a support member, whereby during the connection of the support member with the terminal block, the insulation is penetrated by the knife edge to electrically connect the conductor with the bus bar. In order to facilitate the connection of the support member to the terminal block, the support member and the terminal block are provided with openings that cooperate to define a long-arm pivotal leverage arrangement that provides an assembling tool with a mechanical advantage for assisting in the penetration of the insulation by the knife edge.

  • Patent number: 6027361
Abstract: An insulation displacement contact (10) comprises a contact spring (12) with two resilient contact shanks (20) that limit a contact slot (30), and a U-shaped force spring (14) formed as a separate component from the contact spring (12). The shanks (28) of the force spring (14) run largely perpendicular to regions of the contact shanks (20) and encompass same.

  • Patent number: 4818242
Abstract: The invention described herein relates to a new post-wash-aid which is preferably added during the final rinse to the washing machine. It is composed of a silicone oil, cationically dispersed in water, a cationic fatty acid condensation product and a cationic film-forming agent. The silicon oil may partially be replaced by a paraffin wax and/or may also contain an alkoxylated fatty amine in an amount of up to 10% by weight, based on the silicon. Further the invention shows the process of producing this composition. This composition facilitates ironing, affords the ironed wash an enhanced finish, increases the absorptive capacity of the wash in respect of water and confers a soft and fluffy feel thereto.

  • Patent number: 4765710
Abstract: A distributing frame for optical waveguides. The distributing frame is provided with connector blocks for receiving components designed to connect optical waveguides. The connector blocks are layered upon one another in panels and are mounted on a framework such that they may be individually moved in the layer plane. In a preferred embodiment each connector block is secured to a rod which can be swivelled in the layer plane.

  • Patent number: 4730893
Abstract: A flat panel-shaped waveguide support assembly (1) possesses couplings (3), which are for coupling together incoming and outgoing light waveguides (4,5). Light waveguides (4) are divided into two partial bundles which are guided along opposite sides of the support assembly. From here they are semi-circularly led to an opposite semi-row of couplings (3) so that the two waveguide bundles cross over one another. Thus a relatively large bending radius of curvature is provided while still permitting compact dimensions for the support assembly (1).
