Abstract: A method for manufacturing a laminate includes a carrier material and a cured thermosetting resin. The resin is cured using a catalyst showing one or a combination of two or more of the following properties: the catalyst has a pressure activatable catalyst; the catalyst has an encapsulated catalyst; the catalyst has an organic carboxylic acid. A method is provided for impregnating a paper layer, and an aminoplast resin catalyst is used in the method.
