  • Patent number: 11717918
Abstract: A screw element of a ball screw mechanism includes a lead screw which, at an axial end, is joined to a rod element using a friction welding process. In order to improve the friction-welded joint, prior to the friction welding process, the lead screw has a circumferential groove on the end face facing the rod element.

  • Publication number: 20220275854
Abstract: A method for producing a threaded nut of a threaded drive, includes the following steps: a sleeve is produced from a steel sheet which is suitable for case-hardening; a rolling profile for a rolling contact with rolling bodies is molded on the inner circumference of the sleeve, said rolling profile being wound in a helical manner about the longitudinal axis of the sleeve; a flange is welded to the end face of the sleeve; the flange is provided with a welding surface on the flange end face facing away from the sleeve for welding to a machine part; the welding surface initially has a diffusion-inhibiting layer which inhibits the penetration of carbon; and the welding surface is exposed by removing the diffusion-inhibiting layer after case-hardening the threaded nut. A threaded nut produced according to the method can be part of a ball screw drive, the flange of which can be welded to a provided machine part by the user.

  • Publication number: 20220260139
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for producing a threaded nut of a threaded drive. In a forming process, a sleeve is produced from a steel sheet which is suitable for case-hardening. A flange is integrally formed on the sleeve for welding to a machine part. A welding surface of the flange has a diffusion-inhibiting layer which inhibits the penetration of carbon into the welding surface. The sleeve is case-hardened, and the welding surface is then exposed by removing the diffusion-inhibiting layer. The sleeve can be bonded to a machine part on the exposed welding surface of the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 6976683
Abstract: A cylinder head gasket comprising a gasket plate for an engine in which at least one first coolant cavity is formed in the engine block adjacent to the cylinder head gasket, with the gasket plate comprising coolant passage openings via which the first coolant cavity is connectable to at least one second coolant cavity formed in the cylinder head of the engine; for improved cooling of the engine the cylinder head gasket comprises at least one flow conducting element for the coolant protruding from the gasket plate, the at least one flow conducting element being of such configuration and being joined to a coolant passage opening of the gasket plate in such a way that the flow conducting element forms a flow path with the coolant passage opening and is designed so as to engage in at least one of the first and second coolant cavities and to generate a directed flow of coolant at the outlet end of the flow path.

  • Patent number: 4969727
Abstract: An outside mirror for motor vehicles employs an electromotive drive to position a mirror housing between a viewing position and garage position. The mirror housing is moved in a direction opposite to the direction of travel against the vehicle body to position the housing at the garage position however, a mobility of the mirror housing in the event of collisions in both directions is provided so that the mirror housing automatically returning to the viewing position in the case of movements in the direction of travel.

  • Patent number: 4840475
Abstract: The invention concerns an external mirror for vehicles, having a mirror casing, in which a mirror glass is held so as to be adjustable, the mirror casing being held stationary, in the operating position, on a mirror base. In the event of a collision, the mirror casing can pivot away, either to the front or to the rear, about two approximately vertical axes located one behind the other in the direction of travel. In the case of a rigid streamlined fairing for both the mirror casing and the mirror base, there are certain problems in pivoting the fairing parts forward so as to avoid contact. To deal with this, the invention proposes a guide part which is rigidly located relative to the mirror casing and which interacts with a guide track in the mirror base. The guide track is so designed that when the mirror casing executes a pivoting motion in the forward direction, the mirror casing first lifts off from the mirror base.

  • Patent number: 4811517
Abstract: A vehicle door or body section, especially for a passenger motor vehicle with a door body or body section made essentially of an outer and of an inner body panel and with a window arranged above the same which essentially consists of an approximately rectangularly shaped vertically displaceable side window and an adjoining approximately triangularly shaped window part, whereby for purposes of opening the window the side window and the window part can be lowered completely into the door body or body section in that the window part is pivotal within the area of its corner opposite the side window about an axis arranged approximately perpendicularly to its window plane; the side window and window part extend thereby in a common plane and the side window is provided within the area of its upper corner facing the window part with an inclination in such a manner that in the lowered condition of the side window and of the window part, the front edge of the window part extends adjacent the inclination at a distance w
