Patent number: 12173817Abstract: A threaded coupling assembly include a union (12), a tube end (14), and a coupling nut (16). A pair of telescoping indicator rings (30, 32), a radially outer ring and a radially inner ring, are respectively connected to the union and the nut. The inner ring has a first visual characteristic contrasting with a second visual characteristic of the inner ring. The outer ring has a third visual characteristic contrasting with the second visual characteristic of the inner ring. The first visual characteristic is aligned with and viewable through the window (60) of the outer ring when the threaded coupling assembly is in the fully assembled state, and the first visual characteristic is out of alignment with the window when the threaded coupling assembly is not in the fully assembled state. The assembly may utilize tapered threads and have one or more features for self-alignment and/or sealability.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 2020Date of Patent: December 24, 2024Assignee: Parker-Hannifin CorporationInventors: Dieter Ehrke, Oliver Neiske, Thomas G. Patent number: 9970580Abstract: A backlash-free plug-in connection for a pipe or hose line includes a threaded-connection body, a union nut, a pipe piece insertable into the threaded-connection body, and a securing ring supported against the pipe piece. Stepped recesses are provided for holding the securing ring. A gasket seals the pipe piece against the threaded-connection body. By pressurizing a medium flowing through the pipe or hose line, the pipe piece moves from an inserted position against an insertion direction to a locked position. A fixing ring abuts the securing ring and the gasket, and is supported between the pipe piece and a contact surface formed on the threaded-connection body or union nut. The contact surface is inclined and the gasket moves the fixing ring to a fixed position when the pipe piece moves to the locked position so that the pipe piece is fixed in place.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2015Date of Patent: May 15, 2018Assignee: PARKER HANNIFIN MANUFACTURING GERMANY GMBH & CO. Publication number: 20130015656Abstract: A high-pressure connection device for pipe and hose lines with a connection body and a pipe-like end piece insertable into the connection body, including a union nut externally mounted to the connection body, which can be rotated between a released position and a mounted position. Form-locking designs, which act like a bayonet coupling, are arranged on the connection body and union nut in the form of projections on the union nut as well as in the form of interlocking contours formed on an end extension of the connection body for the locking reception of the projections when rotating the union nut. A security element is movable between a secure position and a release position for rotation of the union nut in order to prevent unintentional reverse rotation of the union nut.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 6, 2012Publication date: January 17, 2013Inventors: Dieter Ehrke, Carsten Schippers, Thomas Müller, Oliver Neiske

Patent number: 7490867Abstract: The invention relates to a pipe connector for a pressure-resistant, positive-fit, high pressure screwed joint. The connection includes a formed tube; a screw body or connector branch with a cone, which connects to a parallel axis drilling, with a radial end surface; a union nut; a sealing ring; and a retaining ring. The formed tube has a parallel axis end-piece with the same tube diameter and which corresponds to the depth of the tube seat base. The formed tube has a pronounced head which forms a mating face, with a cone surface of the union nut, and which leads to an abutment face at a front face of the retaining ring, essentially aligned with the tube axis. The retaining ring has a radial ring surface, which, in the assembled state, contacts with the front face of the cone of the connector branch or screw body, and thus permits a block assembly.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2002Date of Patent: February 17, 2009Assignee: Parker Hannifin PLCInventor: Dieter Ehrke
