    Abstract: An address allocation method, in which coordinate data is ascertained by a coordinate device, the data characterizing a two-dimensional position of a demarcated location, and in which the ascertained coordinate data is allocated to a sequence of words having at least several words by an allocation device. Elevation data is ascertained by an elevation determination device which characterizes an elevation of the demarcated location relative to a predetermined normal elevation. The sequence of words is adjusted by the allocation device depending on the ascertained elevation data. The sequence of words unambiguously characterizes the coordinate data and the elevation data.
