  • Publication number: 20170242685
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a first method for updating firmware of a computer system, which is embedded in a technical device, wherein the technical device has a volatile memory module, wherein the technical device has a non-volatile memory module, in which a firmware update package is stored, wherein the firmware update package contains individual files and associated first checksums, wherein the method runs through the following steps in the specified sequence: a restart (G), a subsequent booting of the computer system (H), and checking if an indicator file exists in the non-volatile memory module (I). Also provided is a second method for updating firmware of the computer system, which is embedded in a technical device, wherein the method runs through the following steps in the specified sequence: a restart (G), a subsequent booting of the computer system (H), and a check as to whether an indicator file exists in the non-volatile memory module (I).

  • Publication number: 20060268843
Abstract: The invention relates to a server arrangement, a service distribution module for a server arrangement and a method for providing telecommunications services using a server arrangement, in particular a Service Control Point (SCP1), comprising the steps: receiving a service request message (M1-M3) by a communication interface (CI) of the server arrangement, distributing the service request of the service request message (M1-M3) to a first or to at least one second service provision means (S12) depending on the service request message (M1-M3), and providing a first service by the first service provision means (S11) or providing at least one second service by the at least one second service provision means (S12). The service distribution means (SDM) concatenates the first (S11) and the at least one second service provision means (S12) depending on at least one concatenation condition (CC1).

  • Patent number: 7046788
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide an advantageous method to process a SAS Application Service request. An inventive method to process a SAS Application Service request includes the steps of: performing an Inbound Message Analysis, performing a Service Decision, performing an Outbound Message Synthesis, wherein the Inbound Message Analysis includes an Application Specific Inbound Protocol Check, an NoAI (Nature of Address Indicator) Analysis and an Inbound Digit Analysis, wherein the Service Decision includes a Database Search and an Application Specific Evaluation of Database Search Indications, and wherein the Outbound Message Synthesis includes generating an Output Digit String making use of an application specific Output Digit String Configuration Table, which includes the parameter SAS Application Service Id and at least one of the following parameters: Output Digit String Id, Auxiliary Number Name, Nature of Address Indicator, Auxiliary Number Presence, Auxialiary Number Position.
