Fiber Guide Channel For An Open End Spinning Device And A Method For Producing A Fiber Guide Channel
Publication number: 20070277497Abstract: The invention relates to a fiber guide channel for an open-end spinning device and to a method for producing such a fiber guide channel. Fiber guide channels are known per se and serve for the pneumatic transport of individual fibers which are combed out of a feed fiber assembly by an opening cylinder that rotates in an opening cylinder housing, to a spinning rotor running at high speed in a rotor housing that can be subjected to a negative pressure. According to the invention, the fiber guide channel (13) is configured as a hollow body whose internal diameter decreases towards its orifice (26). The fiber guide channel (13) is produced according to a method of manufacturing wherein a first over-sized blank shape is produced by injection molding from a mixture of a sinterable material and a binder. Said blank is converted to a porous intermediate shape by removing the binder and brought into a final shape which requires little finishing by sintering.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 29, 2004Publication date: December 6, 2007Inventors: Dieter Haaken, Jochen Dressen -

Publication number: 20040016224Abstract: A sliver delivery and opening device having a pivotably seated sliver intake cylinder driven by a worm gear arrangement comprising a worm wheel connected to the sliver intake cylinder that meshes with a worm affixed to a drive shaft. The worm includes thread windings conforming to a superimposed profile that axially offsets the worm relative to the worm wheel, thus preventing placement of a tooth of the worm wheel on a thread head of the worm when the worm wheel pivotally engages the worm. The amount of offset is measured between a plane of symmetry intersecting the superimposed profile of the worm thread windings and a pivot plane intersecting a center axis of the worm wheel. A positioning device, comprising at least one magnet and a ferromagnetic positioning element, prepositions the worm wheel relative to the pivot plane for pivotal engagement of the worm wheel and the worm.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2003Publication date: January 29, 2004Applicant: W. Patent number: 6405434Abstract: A spinning rotor for open-end spinning machines and a method for balancing the spinning rotor in the course of a single clamping process by removing material from a cylindrical-shaped section of the collar (20) of the rotor cup (19) to form an identification mark (21) thereon sufficiently to offset an imbalance and equalize the mass of the rotor. The mark (21), which preferably consists of a combination of a graphic symbol (22) and lettering (23), is used for identification and information.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2001Date of Patent: June 18, 2002Assignee: W. Patent number: 6082090Abstract: A method for producing a spinning box frame for an open-end spinning machine wherein lateral elements (2, 3) of a spinning box frame (1) are connected with interposed bracing elements (4, 5, 6) by means of a welding process which substantially prevents the occurrence of heat distortion tensions. The bracing elements (4, 5, 6) are joined by means of a laser welding process, preferably with a CO.sub.2 laser, squarely on the interior wall (20) of the lateral elements (2, 3). The components (2 to 6) of the spinning box frame (1) are fixed in place in a welding device (26), which permits the exact positioning of the individual components during the laser welding process.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 1998Date of Patent: July 4, 2000Assignee: W.
