  • Patent number: 6820914
Abstract: A passenger vehicle is equipped with a rear seat bench which has a backrest and a seat cushion. The backrest and seat cushion are divided, in each case, into a ⅓ part and a ⅔ part. The backrest parts can be deposited in a storage space of the respective, assigned seat cushion part. The ⅔ seat cushion part is of removable design. Arranged behind the rear seat bench is a loading space having a height-adjustable loading floor which can be adjusted between a lower position in which the loading floor is situated approximately level with a vehicle floor, and an upper position in which an auxiliary storage space is formed between the loading floor and the vehicle floor. This auxiliary loading space is dimensioned in such a manner that the removed ⅔ seat cushion part can be accommodated therein.

  • Patent number: 6558839
Abstract: The invention provides a treatment for edge surfaces and faces of metallized fiber structure framework plates for use in electric accumulators. The edge surfaces and faces, except for the starting portion of the current tapping tab, are mechanically, thermally or chemically freed of projecting metallized fiber ends and fiber bundles in order to avoid short circuits or soft shorts caused by dendrites penetrating the cell separator or by metallized fiber ends. The mechanical, thermal or chemical treatments can take place individually or in combination with one another.

  • Patent number: 6448860
Abstract: A device for converting low currents, applied by a non-ideal current source to an input of the device, into voltage signals comprises a converter for converting the low currents into voltage signals, at least one feedback branch, and a coupler. The output of the converter is fed back to an input of the converter by the feedback branches and the coupler. The coupler is wired so that control currents supplied by the feedback branches are applied to the input of the converter via the coupler to control the low currents applied by the non-ideal current source at the input of the device. The control currents are applied to the input of the converter via the coupler with a reduction of capacitive, inductive, and ohmic influence of the feedback branches and with an amplitude matching of the control currents.

  • Patent number: 5768459
Abstract: The invention refers to an optical waveguide coupling device with several optical waveguide conductors, connected by ridges, with a housing, comprising on one side an insertion aperture for an optical waveguide and on another side connecting means, whereby the insertion aperture is connected to the connecting means by way of a cable guide, in the interior of the housing and whereby the cable guide, in the vicinity of the insertion aperture, has a resiliently mounted clamping element for holding the optical waveguide, which allows the optical waveguide to move in the direction of the housing and prevents it from moving in the opposite directions.

  • Patent number: 5592323
Abstract: A coupling apparatus for optical data transmission has a plug element which is form-fitted into an associated socket element. The plug element contains guide channels for aligning and securing a group of individual optical waveguides within a single oversheath, so that the waveguide ends are flush with the mating face of the plug element. The socket element contains matching guide channels which are flush with the socket face, for receiving the optical signals from the corresponding plug channels. The socket element also contains circuitry for the detection, amplification, and re-transmission of the received optical signals.

  • Patent number: 5409320
Abstract: A ball socket body (16) of a ball-and-socket joint has an exterior surface (18) and a ball-receiving channel (20). The receiving channel (20) has a channel axis (P--P), an insertion opening (22), an interior circumferential surface (24), an interior end support (26) and ball-securing elements (32). The ball socket body (16) may be made of one piece with the securing cam (32) and may also have a passage (30) opening through the back exterior surface thereof to make a ball head (10) located in the ball socket body (16) accessible to a tool. The ball head (10) is provided with a tool engagement point (10b) for reception of the tool. By use of the tool, the ball head (10) may readily be fastened to a support structure even though the ball head (10) has already been assembled with the ball socket body (16).
