  • Patent number: 7647943
Abstract: A solenoid including an armature movable in an armature room, and a coil which can be flowed through by current. When flowed through by current the armature moves. The armature immerses in a control cone. The mean gap width between the armature and the control cone changes with the immersion path of the armature in the control cone.

  • Patent number: 7410038
Abstract: A locking unit for the locking of the movement of a piston. An electromagnet is provided the armature, respectively the armature bar, of which acts on an operating element. The operating element co-operates with a catching element in such a way that the catching element blocks in a locking position the movement of the piston, respectively the catching element unlocks in an unlocking position the movement of the piston. Catching element and operating element co-operate surface-to-surface.

  • Patent number: 6225886
Abstract: The invention relates to an electromagnet, comprising a coil (30) which can be supplied with current and which thus generates a magnetic field and moves an armature (11) when supplied with current, and wherein the armature (11) serves for controlling a valve or another element. In order to improve the running properties of the armature (11), it is proposed that the armature (11) runs on a plastics sliding surface (2), in particular a sliding film (20) made of plastic.

  • Patent number: 6175291
Abstract: A magnet coil which receives an armature movable longitudinally with respect to the coil axis and having an armature rod. A support of the armature or of the armature rod in a core serves also for the guidance of the magnetic field, a direct support of the armature or of the armature rod on a surface of the core.

  • Patent number: 4449691
Abstract: An electromagnet used to operate a valve comprises an armature guided in a coil carrying body and equipped with an annular flange projecting into a recess in a buffer body with opposed limit faces to brake the movement of the armature in one direction before abutment of the pole faces and in the other direction a sealing of the valve opening. In the latter braking action the armature does not impact against the sealing surface due to a spring abutment of the valve member against the armature. The new electromagnet achieves a comparatively high degree of switch operation frequencies.

  • Patent number: 4090161
Abstract: In electromagnetic clutches or brakes in which the armature closes against the pole pieces of the coil without leaving an air gap, the faces of the poles or armature, or both, are broken up into smaller areas by annular grooves to reduce the lodgement and retention of contaminating and magnetically inhibiting particles resulting from wear.
