  • Patent number: 8335585
Abstract: The invention describes a goods distribution center (1) and a method for its operation for goods (9) to be handled preferably in partitioned storage and transport containers (8) with at least two storage areas (5, 7) for groups of goods with varying turnover frequencies. It comprises an incoming goods area (2), an outgoing goods area (6) and at least one order picking area (4). Conveying devices (10) form for example conveyor belts, roller conveyors, storage and retrieval means (12), e.g. shelf operating devices. Storage devices form e.g. high shelf, flow shelf storage etc. Furthermore, data input and output devices (26) are provided at workstations (18) and connected communicatively with a storage, control and monitoring device (25). The conveying devices (10) of the incoming goods area (2) and the order picking area (4) are in the form of continuous conveying devices (14, 16), which are connected via transfer conveying means (15) to one another and to storage and retrieval means (12).

  • Publication number: 20070212208
Abstract: The invention relates to a system (1) and a method of dispensing stackable objects (2), comprising a storage unit (4) and actuatable discharge mechanisms (21) as well as a detection system (30), whereby the storage unit (4) has shaft-type dispenser magazines (13) disposed in its longitudinal direction aligned one after the other in a row, from which the objects (2) are dispensed, and the discharge mechanisms (21) are provided at the bottom end (20) of each dispenser magazine (13). The detection system (30) has a measuring unit, by means of which the distance between the uppermost object (2) lying farthest away from the discharge mechanism (21) and a top level limit (42) of a dispenser magazine (13) is measured, and from this, the level of objects (2) or an actual stock level of objects (2) in at least some of the dispenser magazines (13) is calculated.

  • Patent number: 6233996
Abstract: A drive system for industrial plant sections, in particular for system sections in the basic industries, having at least one electric motor and at least one converter with a voltage link, through which the electric motor is connected to an AC-voltage power supply network, the converter regulating the power consumption or torque and rotation speed of the electric motor from the AC-voltage power supply network.

  • Patent number: 6189352
Abstract: A driving arrangement for rolling stands of a rolling mill, is described. The driving arrangement includes a control system which prescribes desired values for the rolling stands via control units, the rolling stands having at least one electric motor which is supplied with electric energy by a power supply system via at least one converter having turn-off power semiconductors. The converter has an air-cooled design. The cooling power is dimensioned such that the temperature of the turn-off power semiconductors does not exceed a critical temperature limit for continuous operation. The converter includes heat sinks which have an optimum design. At least some of the heat sinks are connected thermally in parallel.

  • Patent number: 5764499
Abstract: To improve operation when there are dynamic load requirements with a direct a.c. converter with a load connected to it in open circuit, the direct a.c. converter is controlled briefly such that the voltage vector resulting from the geometric sum of the phase voltages is increased while the phase relation remains the same.
