  • Patent number: 6623222
Abstract: In a machine tool (2), in particular for cutting treatment of workpieces (9) comprising a machine frame, a workpiece table (15) borne on the machine frame and an approximately horizontally disposed processing unit (8) which is mounted to the machine frame, the processing unit (8) is mounted also to a support (6) of the machine frame overlapping the workpiece table (15). This upper mounting prevents displacement of the processing unit relative to the workpiece due to the forces acting thereon during processing, in particular in the Z-direction. These forces are accommodated by the machine frame which is self-contained through the support.

  • Patent number: 6582278
Abstract: In a machine tool for cutting treatment of workpieces, comprising a workpiece support having two opposing side walls, a tool support having two opposing side walls and at least one approximately horizontally disposed processing unit (work spindle 8) on the tool support, wherein during operation of the machine tool, forces act between workpiece and processing unit, in particular in the Z direction, the side walls of the tool support and workpiece support, respectively, are combined to form one common side wall (3). Since tool and also workpiece are held at the two common side walls, the forces acting between tool and workpiece are accommodated by said side walls.

  • Patent number: 5361802
Abstract: A valve block, in particular for aggressive fluids and/or fluids of increased temperature, includes a plurality of valve cartridges and an adapter for attachment of the plurality of valve cartridges. The adapter includes passageways for communication with each individual valve cartridge. The adapter is made of plastic material through an injection molding process and includes fittings for attachment of hoses, with the fittings being injection molded and fixed to the adapter through ultrasonic welding. At a location before and behind each valve cartridge are metallic electrodes fitted in the adapter and electrically connected to an analyzer so as to form an electric circuit which is closed by the electrically conductive fluid in order to allow each valve cartridge to be monitored for leaks.

  • Patent number: 4452109
Abstract: In a multi-spindle lathe, the centers of the spindles are arranged offset one above the other at right angles to the plane of the bed slide and the chucks are arranged offset in the longitudinal direction of the lathe. Each turret is fitted on a cross slide, the pivot axes of the turrets likewise running one above the other transversely of the plane of the bed slide, corresponding to the spindle centers. Due to these measures, the lathe is of relative small construction and offers the advantage that the cutting process can easily be observed and that there are no space problems as regards the turrets.
