  • Publication number: 20230272905
Abstract: In a method for operating a household steam treatment appliance which includes an evaporator with a heatable water holding chamber and a fill level sensor with at least two measurement electrodes, which are disposed over one another at a distance from each other in the heatable water holding chamber, a water detection measured value provided for indicating wetting of the at least two measurement electrodes with water introduced into the water holding chamber is adapted in an adaptation process to an electrical conductivity of the water in the water holding chamber.

  • Patent number: 11340202
Abstract: A method for calibrating an oxygen sensor of a household appliance includes a calibration process which is automatically started when at least one status parameter of the household appliance has at least reached a predetermined threshold value. The household appliance can be a steam cooking appliance, and the oxygen sensor can be a lambda probe.

  • Patent number: 10349775
Abstract: In a method for operating a vaporizer of a domestic appliance, the vaporizer is filled at least to a predetermined filling level. The vaporizer can be emptied using an emptying arrangement. A time measurement is started, when a filling level falls below the predetermined filling level. A heating system of the vaporizer is switched on, when the filling level falls below the predetermined filling level. The time measurement is stopped, when the heating system has overheated, and a delivery output is calculated during emptying of the vaporizer, from a duration for emptying that is determined by the time measurement.

  • Publication number: 20190137112
Abstract: A household cooking appliance includes a cooking chamber, a steam generator located outside the cooking chamber, and a steam feed line which connects the steam generator to the cooking chamber. A fresh air line leads to the cooking chamber, with a shut off element being configured to shut off the fresh air line. The steam feed line and the fresh air line have a common end portion, which opens into the cooking chamber.

  • Patent number: 10260753
Abstract: A domestic appliance heating apparatus includes a heating element having two heating connections connected to two supply connections of a supply network, respectively. A first switching element is connected between one of the two heating connections and one of the two supply connections and a second switching element is connected between the other one of the two heating connections and the other one of the two supply connections. A measuring unit has at least one measuring input, at which a potential is present in at least one heating operating state. A control unit interrupts in a network form recognition operating state a conduction path through the heating element by means of the first switching element while the second switching element is closed and takes into account a first potential present at the measuring input when determining a network form present at the heating element.

  • Publication number: 20170108209
Abstract: An evaporator for a household appliance includes a housing wall configured to delimit a receiving space for a liquid to be evaporated, and an electrical heating unit for heating the liquid. A fill level sensor is arranged on an exterior face of the housing wall and configured to determine a fill level of the liquid in the receiving space. The fill level sensor operates in a contactless manner and generates an electromagnetic field in the receiving space.
