  • Patent number: 6255605
Abstract: A driving mechanism for a windscreen wiper having a park position switch. The park position switch includes a swivable contact bridge which is pivotally arranged on a pin in the bottom of the driving mechanism. A contact tag on the contact bridge is made of an electrically conductive plate, with the contact tags being formed by bends. The contact bridge is operated via cams on the worm-gear. The cams cooperate with switch flaps on the contact bridge that are equally formed by bends. Preferably, the switch is mounted in the bottom of the driving mechanism so that the contact banks to be contacted can also extend in the bottom of the case.

  • Patent number: 5707156
Abstract: A cast element comprises an elongated cast body having an axial opening in a direction of its axis thereof, and first and second friction bearings at ends of the axial opening. The friction bearings are formed as a single piece with the cast body, and each friction bearing consists of several slide elements with a space between them. Each of the slide elements has a cross section shaped like a cylindrical ring segment, and the slide elements of the first bearing are circumferentially alternate with the slide elements of the second bearing.

  • Patent number: 5453671
Abstract: The invention relates to an electromotive actuator with a housing for a central door locking system of a motor vehicle having a first slide adjustable by a first electric motor between two end positions. The first slide can be connected with a door lock of the motor vehicle independently of the end position and is preferably decoupled from the electric motor in the end positions, so that the first slide is manually adjustable between its end positions. Such an electromotive actuator is provided with a theft protection capability in the sense that, after a windshield of a motor vehicle is smashed in, an unlocking of the door by the inside locking handle is no more possible because the parts of the actuator are not actuated by operating the inside locking handle. Finally, an unlocking operation initiated from the outside is possible when the theft protection is put into operation.

  • Patent number: 4733957
Abstract: A rearview mirror for vehicles which is adjustable in two planes and has a mirror housing accommodating the mirror glass, a universal mounting for adjustment of the mirror, and a mounting housing accommodating an adjustment drive mechanism. Two shafts are connected to the adjustment drive mechanism, the shafts being driven directly by the adjustment drive mechanism and being rotatable independently of each other. One of the shafts is connected to the mirror housing so that when that shaft is driven, the mirror is swivelled relative to the housing and the other shaft is rigidly mounted on the framework of the vehicle so that when it is driven the housing mechanism together with the mirror housing is swivelled about the last mentioned shaft.

  • Patent number: 4648693
Abstract: A rear view mirror for vehicles which is adjustable in two planes and wherein a mirror support which supports the mirror glass is arranged inside a mirror housing and coupled through a cruciform joint with the housing which accommodates the adjusting drive. Adjustment of the mirror support relative to the mirror housing is obtained by application of the adjusting drive to the axes of the cruciform joint. The mirror assembly provides an absolutely sealed drive housing and is virtually unrestrictedly adjustable about the vertical axes, with minimized constructional depth, as both axes of the cruciform joint are connected with the drive housing, they are directly driven by the adjusting drive and are relatively independently rotatable, one axis being attached to the mirror support and the other axis to the mirror housing.
