The shielding metal plate (3), which can be held in a housing of a plug connector, protects the held conductor from external, interfering influences. The shielding metal plate (3) can be variably adapted to different conductor cross-sections such that both thin and thick conductors can be connected.

Abstract: For the manufacture of a plug-type connector for surface-mounting on circuit boards, it is proposed that the required contact elements be provided with a constricted portion in a region between the plug-in contact end and the soldering-connection end, and that the contact elements introduced into the insulating casing of the plug-type connector be bent over, at the soldering-connection ends in the region of the constricted portion, by a first angle with the aid of a first tool, and be then bent further to almost 90° with the aid of a second tool, all the soldering-connection ends being aligned in a coplanar manner.

Abstract: For a plug connector for card-edge mounting, in particular a plug connector with 2 or more rows, it is proposed that the printed circuit board connection side of the plug connector should have at least one press-on body which is connected to the insulating body of the plug connector so as to be capable of rotating or hinging and in which the soldering connections of the contacts of the plug connector are held.
