  • Patent number: 5194704
Abstract: A mechanically operating pulse for generating electrical pulses dependent upon the rotation of direction of rotary shaft. The pulse generator includes a gear rim having internal toothing driven by the rotary shaft, a radially and generally deflectable switching sleeve which has a cam which engages in a tooth space of the gear rim. A spring member supports the switching sleeve on its side opposite the cam. Metal contacts are disposed adjacent to end areas of the spring member in such a way that said end areas are movable into contact with the metal contacts. A contact stud is disposed centrally of the spring member such that it mechanically retentions it in such a way that each end area is pressed against its adjacent metal contact and the cam is pressed into a tooth space of the gear rim. When the rotary shaft is rotated by one tooth, an end area of the spring member is moved into or out of contact with its adjacent member.

  • Patent number: 4751355
Abstract: A pushbutton switch having a contact actuating member movable in the direction of actuation, and a restoring spring which is loaded when the actuating member is depressed. A laterally resiliently deflectable detent element engages an inclined cam surface on the actuating member. When the member is depressed, the cam surface moves downwardly over the detent element causing the element to be laterally deflected, thereby releasing the detent mechanism. Thereafter, the actuating member is then free to move on against the force of the restoring spring.

  • Patent number: 4497982
Abstract: Input unit for electronic equipment, consisting of a body of insulating material with finger guides in which sensor contacts and pushbutton switches are arranged. By moving the finger along the guides characters can be written and the sensor contacts produce corresponding electrical signals. By operating a corresponding pushbutton it is indicated that the writing-in operation is completed.

  • Patent number: 4472609
Abstract: A multiple flat-type switch consisting of three foils of insulating material placed on top of each other and bonded to one another. The center foil is provided with holes and the two outer foils are provided on their insides with contact surfaces which come into contact with one another when a pressure is exerted upon the foil arrangement. For the purpose of achieving a switch having a large overtravel (overlift) the contact surfaces are arranged in one row along the edge of the foil arrangement, while the leads extend almost vertically in relation to the edge of the foil. The foil arrangement is slotted from the edge within the area of the contact surfaces, and arranged on a foam-plastic base. For preventing the metallizations from being damaged, metal-free regions are provided for at the points of pressure attack, and the contact surfaces of the upper foil are connected in a spiral-shaped manner to their respective terminals within the area of the holes of the center foil.

  • Patent number: 4447686
Abstract: In a pushbutton switch or pushbutton-actuated slide switch having a detent mechanism designed to have the shape of a heart cam, an individual latching and a mutual unlatching is made possible in that, according to the invention, the heart cam is provided with a further, center curved path for the unlatching (disengaging) purpose. Within this area of the position of the detent pin, the latching is accomplished by a cross slide which, during the off-switching process, can be pressed via a limit stop and by the detent pin into the unlatching (disengaging) position.

  • Patent number: 4349712
Abstract: A push-button switch using one dome sheet of plastics with an electrode on one face and a second flat sheet of plastics with an electrode on the face opposite the first one. Between the sheets and below the second one plates of rigid material with holes below the dome are arranged. When the button is depressed the dome snaps over to the other side of the plastic sheet and the electrode contacts the electrode on the flat plastic sheet. By the hole in the plate below the flat sheet a chatter-proof contact is established.

  • Patent number: 4197437
Abstract: A snap-action switch for use with electric circuits is disclosed, having a roof-shaped elastic sheetmetal member intended to cooperate with several contacts of a printed circuit. By depressing the roof along a folding edge, the sheetmetal member is caused to snap along a line extending transversely in relation to the folding edge, thus first opening one contact and thereafter closing another contact.

  • Patent number: 4046982
Abstract: This invention relates to a switch means for push-button keys. The switch means comprises a roof shaped snap action spring element which is actuated by a push-button. The spring actuates a contact member which makes contact with electrical conductors on a printed circuit board.
