  • Patent number: 8138748
Abstract: A position sensor (PS) that is in position to deliver data for evaluating positioning data of an axle (OS) over a specified number of turns, where two transmissions (G1, G2) are affixed to the axle (OS) for being in position to transmit each the position of the axle to a rotary encoder (RE), the transmission ratios being chosen such that over the specified number of turns of the axle (OS) both transmissions (G1, G2) at the output differ in one turn, as well as to an evaluation circuit, and to an electric motor.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 10, 2008
Date of Patent: March 20, 2012
    Assignee: Alcatel Lucent

  • Publication number: 20080290748
Abstract: The invention relates to an electric motor with a housing, a rotor, a stator, an axle, and a bearing region with two bearings, where both bearings are arranged at the same side of the rotor in axial direction, wherein the housing is built in two parts, such that one part contains rotor and stator and the bearing region and a second part is designed as a cover at the side far from the bearing region.

  • Publication number: 20050063684
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling the speed and/or the position of an electric motor, comprising the steps of generating a first digitally pulsed signal, whose frequency represents the desired speed of the motor, deriving a second signal which represents the speed and/or the position of the motor, deriving a control signal out of a result of a comparison of said first signal to said second signal, controlling the speed and/or the position of the motor by applying said control signal to the motor, wherein said second signal is a digitally pulsed signal derived by encoding the motor speed and said comparison is made by subtracting the number of pulses of said first from the number of pulses of said second signal or vice versa and a control circuit for controlling an electric motor according to the method.

  • Patent number: 6185976
Abstract: A method of adjusting the axial height of the fingers of a diaphragm spring has the following steps: a) a localized area or portion of each finger is heated, and b) the sections of the finger that are adjacent to the heated are bent relative to each other so that the fingers obtain the desired axial height. The heating substantially eliminates the introduction of bending stresses into the fingers.
