  • Patent number: 6681927
Abstract: A (cigarette) pack, in particular a hinge-lid box (10), with an outer wrapper (24) made of thin, transparent film includes a printing carrier (30) which is arranged, between the hinge-lid box (10) and outer wrapper (24), with (zigzag) folding. The printing carrier (30) is positioned in the region of an end wall (22) such that automatic unfolding takes place when the outer wrapper (24) is opened.

  • Patent number: 6557699
Abstract: Pack, in particular cigarette pack of the soft pack type, with a pack container made of tearable material surrounding the contents of the pack and forming an end wall (17) from folding flaps, an opening tab (39) delimited by perforation lines (38) and/or punched lines (40) being defined in the region of the end wall. The opening tab (39) is connected to an outer wrapping (33) made of foil in such a manner that the opening tab (39) moves into an opening position or is removed when the outer wrapping (33) is opened or removed.

Abstract: Pack units comprising a (cigarette) pack, in particular hinge-lid box (10), and an outer wrapper (24) made of thin, transparent film are assigned a printing carrier (30) which is arranged between the hinge-lid box (10) and outer wrapper (24), to be precise with (zigzag) folding. The printing carrier (30) is positioned in the region of an end wall (22) such that automatic unfolding takes place when the outer wrapper (24) is opened.

  • Patent number: 6311834
Abstract: A hinge-lid box for cigarettes has a box part (10) and a lid (11). Hinge-lid boxes have, because of their design or structure, four vertical edges. These edges have a particular design, ie., two vertical edges are designed as rounded edges (24, 25), and the two other edges as angular edges (26, 27) with a rectangular cross-section. The rounded edges (24, 25) can be located in the area of one and the same side wall (14/19) or be in diagonally opposite positions.

  • Patent number: 5806671
Abstract: In hinge-lid packs, especially such with rounded or beveled pack edges (23, 24, 25, 26), an additional closing aid is desirable. To this end, in the upper region of a collar (35) or collar side walls (37, 38) thereof, projections (40) are formed which, in the closed position, correspond to counter projections (43) on the inside of lid side walls (19, 20).

  • Patent number: 5419431
Abstract: A separable container for storing a plurality of articles is formed from a pair of partially enclosed members arranged in adjacent relationship. A third member is secured to the first and second members so as to form with the first member a first walled enclosure and with the second member a second walled enclosure, each for storing a plurality of articles. A line of perforations arranged in association with the third member enables separating the first and second walled enclosures from each other. The separable container is particularly advantageous in enabling a retailer to sell less than a total quantity of stored articles within the original container, such as cigarette packs and the like.

  • Patent number: 4050579
Abstract: A package is provided for holding a plurality of articles in a fixed orientation with respect to each other so that the articles are arranged for further processing, such as overwrapping, shrink-wrapping, case-packing, or the like. In one embodiment, the package includes a T-shaped member having a base and a divider which define an article support member on each side of the divider, with each of the article support members including one or more adhesive strips on either or both of the divider wall or base wall of each article support member. A row of articles is disposed in each of said article support members so that the articles adhere to the adhesive strips and are held in a fixed orientation with respect to each other. Such package may then be utilized for case-packing or may be further processed so that the package is overwrapped, shrink-wrapped, or the like.
