  • Patent number: 6368506
Abstract: The invention relates to a filter, especially an oil filter, comprising a carrier casing which borders a clean room/chamber. The filter also has a filter element which encloses the carrier casing. The filter element is comprised of zigzag shaped folded strip material, whereby the end folds of the filter element are adjacently held together. In order to construct the filter in such a way that a mass-production with a high operational reliability is guaranteed, a clamping strip which fastens the end folds of the filter element is arranged on the exterior surface of the carrier casing.

  • Patent number: 4886944
Abstract: A pressure or draw bar of fiber-reinforced insulating material, in particular for a high voltage circuit breaker. The pressure or draw bars of fiber-reinforced insulating material are provided with connecting elements for the introduction of force for operating the circuit breaker. The connecting apertures of the draw bar which allow connection to the circuit breaker should be simple to adjust and secure, but should be fixable in a manner which permits ready detachment. The connecting apertures of the connecting elements are arranged in a fork part, to which a slit pipe part with external threads lies adjacent. In the slit pipe part a spreading body is arranged held by a screw, which in the region of the fork part has a surface accessible for generating a rotational motion. The spreading body can thus by spreading apart the slit pipe part determine the height of the connecting apertures with respect to the bar. The fitting body is surrounded on the outside by a ring as screening.

  • Patent number: 4831220
Abstract: A high-voltage compressed-gas circuit breaker having a filter accommodated in a separate housing for the purification of the gas in the gas space of the circuit breaker. For easy accessibility, the housing of the filter is attached at the housing of the corner gear of the operating mechanism. The material of the filter is retained in the filter housing by a perforated metal sheet. In certain embodiments, the filter housing has a rupture plate which is locates below a vertically extending perforated tube that is centrally arranged in the filter housing. Underneath the rupture plate, a housing lid is provided for deflecting possibly escaping switching gases.

  • Patent number: 4827373
Abstract: A high-voltage compressed-gas circuit breaker has contact plates with a contact face for the incoming cables. The position of these contact faces and the attachment bores on the contact faces for the connection of cables will vary depending on the form of installation given in the switching equipment. The circuit breaker has contact faces which are formed as contact parts which are separate from the terminal plates. On both contact parts, bores are provided for connecting the contact part and the terminal plate to each other, these bores protruding beyond the outside diameter of the interrupter unit on which the terminal plate is applied. The bores make possible a reversal of the contact face by 180.degree..

  • Patent number: 4823232
Abstract: A high-voltage compressed-gas circuit breaker having terminal plates with a contact face for incoming cables. The position of these contact faces and the attachment devices on the contact faces for the connection of the cables varies according to the form of installation given in the switching equipment. The contact faces are formed as a separate part from the terminal plate. On both the separate part and the terminal plate, bores for connection of the part and the plate are provided which do not affect the sealing by the terminal plates of the interior of the interrupter unit at its outer end faces. The bores permit an attachment of the separate part to the contact face in either a first position, or a second position which is rotated by 90.degree. from said first position.

  • Patent number: 4258239
Abstract: An improved electric circuit breaker of the type comprising: a first hollow stationary contact element; a second hollow movable contact element, a third movable tubular contact element for connecting the first and second contact elements in the on condition of the breaker; and a piston-cylinder arrangement for providing a flow of quenching medium to quench the arc drawn between the contact elements. The improvement includes the further provision in such a circuit breaker of a spring means for causing, during the closing of the breaker, the second contact element to move to a first position whereat it is spaced at a first distance from the first contact element and a further means including a movable portion of the piston-cylinder arrangement for causing, during the opening of the breaker, the second contact element to move to a second position whereat it is spaced at a second distance larger than the first distance from the first contact element.

  • Patent number: 3951237
Abstract: A shock absorber for the absorption of vibrations acting horizontally between foundation and base of an apparatus includes two shock absorbing components which are connected to each other through a pendulum. The free ends of the pendulum are linked in wobble-like fashion to respective ones of the shock absorbing components and at least one friction surface is disposed between the shock absorbing components for absorbing the vibrations and translating the same into heat.

  • Patent number: 3939317
Abstract: An electric compressed-gas circuit breaker is equipped with a blasting device for extinguishing the arc drawn when the breaker opens. The blasting device includes a cylinder member and a piston member as well as energy storage means which, at the start of the opening motion, is released in a direction to produce an additional compression. The energy storage means is charged at the end of the breaker opening motion with the kinetic energy of the parts moved by the drive for the blasting device.
