  • Patent number: 4770406
Abstract: The invention relates to a sheet stacking device on paper cross-cutting machines, consisting of a sheet supply and stacker device. A stacking device of this type comprises elements which retard the paper sheets supplied from a supply speed to zero and thus guide the sheets so that after being laid down they form a stack having a straight edge. The auxiliary elements required for the direct formation of the stack form the sheet stop board (8) and lateral guide plates (12, 13). In the case of a change of format, which generally necessitates a displacement of the sheet stop board (8) in the direction in which the sheets are supplied and of the lateral guide plates (12, 13) at right angles to the direction in which the sheets are supplied, in the case of an automatic format adjustment for the sheet stacking device, an exchange of the format-dependent lateral guide plates (12, 13) is no longer required.

  • Patent number: 4610593
Abstract: A device for conveying and stacking sheets of paper has a first conveying unit receptive of sheets for stacking and a second conveying unit downstream of the first conveying unit for removing a stack and wherein the units include upper and lower belts. A single upper belt is associated with two lower belts for the two units and the upper belt is alternately coupled for movement with one or the other of the two lower belts at the same speed as the lower belt to which it is coupled to effect either the stacking of the sheets or the movement of the stack.

  • Patent number: 4484736
Abstract: In the changing of the dimensions of sheets of paper to be stacked by a paper stacking apparatus including a conveying station, adjustable upper tapes moving about reflection rollers, separating shoes, ejector rolls, separating plates and stopper boards, the improvement which comprises displacing the upper tapes along with their deflection rollers, the separating shoes, the ejector rolls, and the separating plates all together transversely to the paper path. This is effected by providing a rod which connects the upper-tape deflection rollers, a separating shoe, ejector rolls, and a separating plate whereby they will all be transversely displaced together.

  • Patent number: 4218943
Abstract: A revolving cross cutter has two knife drums coupled together, wherein the upper knife drum is mounted for movement towards and away from the lower drum for setting a gap between the two. A sensor-controlled lift mechanism is responsive to forcible lifting of the upper knife drum to lift same away from the lower drum when a jam-up occurs.
