  • Patent number: 11948051
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for auditing the results of a machine learning model includes: retrieving a set of state estimates for original time series data values from a database under audit; reversing the state estimation computation for each of the state estimates to produce reconstituted time series data values for each of the state estimates; retrieving the original time series data values from the database under audit; comparing the original time series data values pairwise with the reconstituted time series data values to determine whether the original time series and reconstituted time series match; and generating a signal that the database under audit (i) has not been modified where the original time series and reconstituted time series match, and (ii) has been modified where the original time series and reconstituted time series do not match.

  • Patent number: 7429420
Abstract: Method for producing foamed microporous polymer molded bodies by melting a thermoplastic polymer in a first zone of an extrusion device, mixing in a highly volatile blowing agent, conveying the polymer melt containing the blowing agent into a second zone in which dissolution of the blowing agent occurs to saturation of the polymer melt at the foaming temperature, and molding and foaming of the loaded polymer melt to a foamed structure, whereby, in the second zone, a pressure above 90 bar, a blowing agent concentration above the critical minimum concentration for complete foaming, and the foaming temperature, lying above the solidification temperature of the polymer melt saturated with blowing agent, are set such that the polymer molded body obtained has a porosity in the range between 40 and 90 vol. % and an open-cell pore structure with uniform cross-sectional distribution.

  • Patent number: 7273551
Abstract: In a polyimide molded body, in particular a polyimide membrane which is functionalized with a chemical group and a method for production thereof, a molded body or membrane is obtained, whereby a pre-prepared polyimide body, as starting material, is brought into contact with an aqueous modifier solution for a period of 1 second to 1 hour. The modifier solution contains at least one modifier substance at least partially dissolved therein, which comprises a primary or secondary amino group, or a similar amino group and additionally at least one further functional group per molecule. The polyimide molded body is brought to an elevated temperature, either during the contact period with the modifier solution or thereafter and then purified and dried. The membrane obtained according to the invention may be functionalized in a targeted adjustable manner and has a high functionalization degree. The functionalization may be achieved simply and economically in an aqueous medium.

  • Publication number: 20070188989
Abstract: A computer drive carrier to be removably received within a receiving frame so that a computer drive transported by the carrier can be interfaced with a host computer. A handle is pivotally connected to the computer drive carrier and adapted to be rotated between a closed position when the carrier is received within the receiving frame and an open position when it is desirable to remove the carrier and its drive from the receiving frame to be replaced by a different carrier. A key controlled lock is mounted on the receiving frame and includes a locking pawl that is rotatable from an unlocked position, at which to permit the handle to be rotated from the closed position to the open position so that the computer drive carrier can be removed from its receiving frame, to a locked position, at which to prevent the handle from being rotated to the open position so that the computer drive carrier is locked in place in the receiving frame.

  • Publication number: 20070064385
Abstract: A (e.g., U-shaped) receiving frame to be mounted in a drive bay or similar enclosure and interfaced with a host computer. The receiving frame receives therewithin a removable computer drive carrier module which encloses a computer drive and a removable fan module which exhausts heat generated by the computer drive to the atmosphere. Should the fan module fail, it is simply and easily removed from the receiving frame to be replaced by a new module, but without affecting the operation of the computer drive module or requiring that the receiving frame be taken out of service. A rotatable handle is pivotally connected across the first end of the computer drive carrier module. When the computer drive module is installed in the receiving frame, the handle is rotated to a closed position by which to cause power to be supplied to the computer drive.

  • Publication number: 20050193159
Abstract: A portable carrier for a disk drive including power control circuitry to enable a hot-plug connection between an external connector on the carrier and an opposing carrier mating connector on the back panel of an enclosure of a data storage system of the kind that is typically part of a file server, so that the disk drive can be powered from 5 and 12 volt power buses within the enclosure, but without damaging the disk drive or the opposing connectors at the moment of contact therebetween as a consequence of a current surge. The power control circuitry includes a timer and 5 volt and 12 volt carrier power switches (e.g., MOSFETs) that are respectively connected between the 5 volt and 12 volt power buses of the enclosure and the disk drive.

  • Publication number: 20030151891
Abstract: A universal cableless drive adapter by which a removable carrier can be electrically coupled to a portable computer data storage (e.g. a disk or tape drive) so that the data storage device can communicate with an SCSI bus in a small computer system network while avoiding the common use of ribbon cable and the effects caused by the corresponding stub length on the bus. The universal cableless adapter is attached to the removable drive and includes a fixed I/O connector and a DC power plug, the position of which is adjustable relative to the position of the power connector on the data storage device. Accordingly, the removable carrier can be efficiently coupled to a variety of different computer data storage devices, regardless of the manufacturer of the data storage device, the position of the power connector thereof and the distance between the data storage device and its removable carrier.

  • Patent number: 6442022
Abstract: A replaceable SCA drive adapter board detachably connected to the rear of a disc drive carrier that encloses a remote computer disc drive and is adapted to be removably received within a computer storage chassis. The SCA drive adapter board has a SCA drive interface connector mounted on one face thereof to be coupled to a complementary interface connector of the disc drive and an SCA backplane interface connector mounted on the opposite face to be coupled to a host computer via connectors at the backplane of the computer storage chassis to enable the disc drive to communicate with the host computer whenever the disc drive carrier is returned to the computer storage chassis. The SCA drive adapter board is quickly and easily removed from the disc drive carrier and replaced to reduce down time and repair as a consequence of the SCA backplane interface connector wearing out following many repetitive insertion/removal cycles of the disc drive carrier to and from the chassis.

  • Patent number: 6435897
Abstract: A compact PCI connector guide to be attached to a motherboard of a small computer system to surround a male PCI connector that is affixed to the motherboard. The PCI connector guide is adapted to accurately and automatically guide an incoming female PCI connector that is carried on a detachable peripheral printed circuit board into mating engagement with the male PCI connector, whereby the motherboard and the peripheral board are electrically interconnected with one another. The PCI connector guide has a body and flared lips projecting outwardly therefrom to automatically redirect the female PCI connector towards and into receipt by the male PCI connector without subjecting the contact pins of the male PCI connector to damage as a consequence of the male and female PCI connectors being misaligned with one another.
