  • Patent number: 5234051
Abstract: This invention relates to a compact heat exchanger-ventilation unit, for vehicles driven by internal-combustion engines which is compact and permits use of a narrow, low hood. The cooling air fan 1 has a diffuser and the resistance of the heat exchangers on the cooling air side is adapted to the delivery level of the cooling air fan 1. A refrigeration system condenser 7, charge air cooler 6, transmission oil cooler 4, motor coolant heat exchanger 3 and hydraulic oil cooler 5 are thus compactly arranged.

  • Patent number: 5012768
Abstract: Known cooling systems exhibit separate radiators (3), compensator reservoirs (2) and fan shrouds (1). These parts must all be mounted separately, then, and as they are generally placed at various locations in the vehicle, connecting hoses must be led from the various mounting places to the internal-combustion engine. In accordance with the invention, the compensator reservoir (2) and the fan shroud (1) are fabricated in one piece and made as a support for the radiator (3). Thus, only one part need be mounted on the vehicle or on the internal-combustion engine, and only one hose run need be provided to connect the cooling system to the internal-combustion engine.

  • Patent number: 4726327
Abstract: An air guide panel is provided for an air-cooled internal combustion engine which has closable cleaning openings between the cooling air openings. This air guide panel makes it easier to clean the cooling fins on the cylinder pipes because the cleaning process can be carried out without removing the air guide panel.
