  • Publication number: 20070152895
Abstract: In the edge area of a window (8) a vehicle (5) is provided with a completely opaque black print (9) and a grey print (10) with grid-like apertures (11) adjacent thereto in a direction toward the window center that together form an obscuring area (7), on the vehicle facing side of which a vehicle antenna (1) consisting of an antenna structure (2) and a feed line (3) is arranged. According to the invention, the antenna structure (2) is at least partially arranged within the region of the grey print (10) and designed such that it is completely covered by the interface (13) formed by the apertures (11). Thus the antenna structure can be placed in greater distance to the vehicle body, by which the electrical adjustment of the antenna is improved. Further advantages result from the embodiments of and modifications to the invention described in the dependent claims.

  • Patent number: 6992730
Abstract: Process for mobile reception of television signals in which an output signal (SA) is derived from n different (S1 . . . S5) and is supplied to the reproduction part of the receiver, the n input signals (S1 . . . S5) being weighted, the output signal (SA) being formed by summing of the weighted input signals, and the quality of each of the n input signals (S1 . . . S5) being evaluated using at least one given criterion for determining the adaptively determined weighting factors, characterized in that the n input signals (S1 . . . S5) are time-synchronized before their evaluation, summing and weighting, and the horizontal and/or vertical video synchronization pulses contained in the input signals (S1 . . . S5) are used for control of time synchronization.

  • Patent number: 5793337
Abstract: In an aerial arrangement with a monopole aerial having a radiator and a counterweight, in which the radiator and the counterweight are each connected at opposite feed points to one conductor of a lead, a largely circular azimuthal pattern is obtained while avoiding the irradiation of the vehicle passenger compartment by using at least two parallel-connected monopole aerials interconnected via a line transformer.

  • Patent number: 5457467
Abstract: The antenna combination has at least two individual antennas which form part of at least one resonant circuit which appears on an electrically conductive surface. The output signals of the individual antennas are combined, for example, added. The antennas are preferably located at the edges of the electrically conductive structure. The antenna combination of the invention is particularly suitable for transmitting and receiving in vehicles because antennas which have transmitting and receiving properties equivalent or superior to those of rod and disc antennas can be built into the vehicle. The antenna combination can be used advantageously in a diversity process.

  • Patent number: 5204979
Abstract: According to the receiving method for mobile reception has a plurality of individual receiving antennas, also known as diversity receiving method, on the individual antenna output signals an auxiliary modulation is superimposed and the antenna output signals are added to give a summation signal which as amplified selected intermediate-frequency summation signal is then demodulated in relation to amount and frequency or phase, the phase position of an individual signal in relation to the phase position of the summation signal and/or the amplitude contribution of an individual signal to the amplitude of the summation signal thereby being determined. This information is utilized for optimizing the useful signal with a view to optimum interference suppression for example in that the phases and/or amplitudes of the high-frequency individual signals are changed in dependence upon the phase position and/or amplitude contribution determined.
