Abstract: An apparatus for producing decorative elements (43), in particular for vehicles, includes a first mould plate (10); a second mould plate (20), which is movable relative to the first mould plate, such that the apparatus may be brought into an open and a closed position. The second mould plate includes a frame (21) and an exchangeable shaping core (22, 23) movable relative to the frame; and a clamp (30), which is arranged and movable in such a way that the entire circumferential zone (44) of a workpiece (40) is fixed to the frame (21) of the second mould plate (20) by the clamp. An associated method is also disclosed.
