  • Patent number: 7126424
Abstract: In an interface circuit for connection to an output of a frequency converter, at least two current paths are coupled to one another in parallel. Each current path includes at least one cascode stage for signal processing. The circuit compensates for DC voltage offsets of the frequency converter, and has a gain ratio that can be changed over for signals with a large dynamic range.

  • Patent number: 6888416
Abstract: An oscillator/mixer circuit having a reduced area requirement when producing it on a chip and where the circuit's mixer circuit is not based on the use of the nonlinear characteristic curve of an active component. The preferred embodiment of the oscillator/mixer circuit comprises an oscillator circuit; a mixer circuit, wherein the oscillator and mixer circuits have the same components to some extent and wherein the mixer circuit has at least a first switch element and a second switch element. An output of the first switch element is coupled to a control input of the second switch element via a first feedback element. An output of the second switch element is coupled to a control input of the first switch element via a second feedback element. The feedback elements are set up allow oscillator operation of the oscillator/mixer circuit.

  • Publication number: 20040130403
Abstract: The invention relates to an oscillator circuit and a mixer circuit that, in part, contain the same components. The mixer circuit comprises at least two switch elements. The outputs of said switch elements are each coupled in a crosswise manner to the control inputs of the respective other switch element via a feedback element. The feedback element is disposed of in such a way to additionally enable an oscillatory operation of the oscillator/mixer circuit.

  • Patent number: 6717503
Abstract: The coil and coil system is provided for integration in a microelecronic circuit. The coil is placed inside an oxide layer of a chip, and the oxide layer is placed on the substrate surface of a substrate. The coil comprises one or more windings, whereby the winding(s) is/are formed by at least segments of two conductor tracks, which are each provided in spatially spaced-apart metalization levels, and by via-contacts which connect these conductor track(s) and/or conductor track segments. In order to be able to produce high-quality coils, a coil is produced with the largest possible coil cross-section, whereby a standard metalization, especially a standard metalization using copper, can, however, be used for producing the oil. To this end, the via contacts are formed from a stack of two ore more via elements arranged one above the other. Parts of the metalization levels can be located between the via elements.

  • Publication number: 20030017608
Abstract: A method and a device identify molecules present in a carrier liquid. The carrier liquid is located in a container configuration that is provided with two electrodes, these electrodes being connected to a source of electrical high-frequency energy whose frequency can be modified through a wide range. The molecules can be identified by their absorption resonance frequency.

  • Publication number: 20020196009
Abstract: A measuring method and a sensor device measure chemicals in pharmaceutical analysis and synthesis. According to the method, the course of a reaction is detected by a change of frequency of a high frequency oscillator. The sensor device includes a measuring cell in which the reaction takes place, said measuring cell forming part of a resonator of an HF-oscillator.
